I went to Adara Spa (specifically Sunny) for my first-ever waxing, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. For a first waxing, I decided to go for the full Brazilian, so I pretty apprehensive about what to expect. Not only was Adara Spa a clean and professional environment, but Sunny was spectacular at putting me at ease and really creating an enjoyable experience (relative to the actual process of a Brazilian waxing!) I've already gone back to Sunny for another waxing, plan on doing so for a long time to come, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Adara Spa to others.

I've been going to Sunny Miller for over 5 years now. I followed her from another shop to Adara Spa when she opened her new business. She does THE BEST nails -- LPN gel holds up so much better than acrylic. I've had maybe two or three nails break in 5 years.
Additionally, Desiree Evans gives the best pedicures in the business. I have very bad knee joints and Desiree takes that into consideration every time she had to move my legs. Besides that, she does a wonderful. She even remembers what nail colors I like -- summer and winter!
In addition to the professional demeanor shown by both Desiree and Sunny, both they, and the other folks working at Adara Spa, make it an enjoyable place to come and stay for an hour or hour and a half. It's as though you're coming in to visit with friends every 3 weeks or so, rather than just paying some stranger to "do your manicure and pedicure." I'll never go anywhere else and you should try it out!

I decided to treat myself to a spa package for my birthday. The quality of service was excellent and reasonably priced. I had never had a facial before and I was so relaxed. The atomosphere was quaint and personable. The ladies are all knowledgeable and provide recommendations for issues of concern. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone and have informed many of my friends to give them a try. I will definitely be back, I don't see myself going to anyone else from now on for facials, manicures or pedicures.

This is the best spa I have ever been to! The staff was friendly, service is very clean, utilizes hard and/or soft wax, high quality products/powder/gel if needed, excellent for those with sensitive skin, and the best part about it is how the pain is minimized as much as possible! The experience was actually quite relaxing as well. I couldn't recommend this place any more highly. Tanisha is clearly a master of her craft, passionate about her profession, and takes care of each customer's concerns. She deserves an award! :)

I had my first appointment at Adara Spa today for waxing and it was first class in every aspect. Tanisha was my esthetician and was fabulous. She is a professional in every way and that complements her great personality. The waxing is one of, if not the best I ever had and was done efficiently with minimal discomfort, especially the Brazilian portion. The rates are very reasonable and fair. I would recommend Adara Spa to males and females and I already booked my appointment for next month!

Tanisha provided a fantastic waxing for me. It was my second waxing and it was even better than the first. She took great care to answer all my questions and even went so far as to explain the difference between hard and soft wax methods and the advantages.
The look and feel are greatly appreciated by me and my lady!

adara spa accomodated me and my bridal party for my special relaxing day! everyone was so hospitable and welcoming--they even allowed us to bring in food and drinks! thanks to sonny and her awesome staff for being wonderful!

I was waxed last night at the Adara Spa for the fourth time and every time is better than the last. Both Sunny and Tanisha do an amazing job making guys feel comfortable and well taken care of. If you have never been waxed or if you are a regular at it, you will really enjoy them. I couldn't be more pleased with how I look and feel.

My cousin and I treated ourselves to a much deserved Spa Day. I surfed the web and found Adara Spa, and I'm so glad I did! The entire staff is so warm and friendly. They made us feel very comfortable. The massage that I received from Alyssa was FABULOUS! I still feel rejuvenated! I received a facial from Tanisha. Let me just say that it was the BEST! I dont wear make-up, and two days after the facial, my husband asked me if I was wearing make-up. I explained that it was just the glow from the facial!

I experienced a male waxing with Tanisha for the first time ever. I was very nervous about what to expect and how painful it would be. Tanisha talked to me the entire time to assure me it will not hurt, but just be a little uncomfortable. She educated me about the pros and cons to shaving and why waxing is the better choice. She even told me about why she uses hard wax for sensitive areas and not the other wax. I will be sharing my experience with everyone..Thank you Tanisha for an outstanding job. I cant get over how smooth my skin feels!

I have been going to Adara Spa for at least 3 years and I wouldn't trust anyone else but Sunny Miller to do my brazilian! From my first experience to my last, she has always made it very comfortable and a somewhat enjoyable experience. I am always comfortable and relaxed. I've recommended her to a lot of people who were apprehensive about getting waxed but she eased all their fears and now is a regular like me! I love the location and the courteous employees.

first time I've ever had a "hard wax" - and will highly recommend it. I've been going for years to a spa in Cary and just 1 experience with Tanisha and hard wax - I will definately be a regular customer! plus she fit me in at the last moment which is fantastic. The interior was very comfortable and relaxing!!

I had the male waxing done in the area below and everything was great. It was my first time and I was nervous, but Tanisha did an outstanding job throughout the session. It exceeded my expectations and I will gladly come back.

FIRST WAXING EXPERIENCE....was EFFORTLESS!!!! I admit, I was a little apprehensive, but Sunny was great! She made it a point to walk me through the process before we got started and put me at ease right away. The spa was spotless and the staff very friendly. Now that I've had the opportunity to be introduced to a true landscape artist, there's no way that I'll go back to a razor and razor bumps.........Thank you Sunny!

My husband treated me to a day at Adara for my birthday and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was treated with a pedicure and facial by the amazing Tanisha. Her touch was so gentle and her personality was so engaging. Alyssa did my massage and it was truly fantastic. I liked the place so much I will be going back this weekend for a manicure.
The only dark spot in the whole experience is the building.

What a delight! Tanisha did a fantastic job on my nails---hands and feet---and was extremely considerate of some limitations I have post surgery. Everyone there is fun, helpful, and clearly very good at what they do. From the ambiance (lovely view) to the happy companionship--and specifically including the professional services---it was a lovely experience. Not only do I look forward to another appointment with Tanisha----I'm taking my Mama next time!

I got a Brazilian wax from Tanisha. She did an excellent job, very professional and attentive, and made me feel very at ease with the whole process.

I moved to Raleigh from California ready to embrace a hairier existence,until I saw the light and met Sunny she restored my belief that I could be in Raleigh and get the same types of intimate hair removal that I was accustomed to in California and she is even better than my girl back home. Adara is clean Sunny is professional and FAST! "If you've ever had a Boyzillian you know what I am talking about..." and the products she uses are great.

Tanisha has to be the best ever. By far the best services I have ever had! The staff was excellent. My best friend was coming to town and we wanted spa services. The staff worked with us to fit us in. If you have never had a facial you don't know what you are missing. I would recommend Adara Spa to anyone.

Tanisha has been very flexible and great to work with when it comes to me scheduling an appointment. She does a wonderful job waxing and is very thorough. Adara Spa also uses hard wax which is amazing and makes the waxing experience that much better (and less painful)! All the ladies at Adara Spa are wonderful and I highly recommend each and every one of them! I've also been to Sunny and Desiree and they are fantastic at what they do!

Receiving a pedicure from Tanisha was like getting a pedicure from an old friend. Laid-back yet professional, Tanisha made me feel comfortable and welcome. She went above and beyond to make my time with her special, and the pedicure was excellent too!

Adara is an amazing jewel in a quiet office building; it is a wonderfully compact spa that makes one feel right at home immediately. The services are wonderful and very reasonably priced. Desiree has done my nails, pedis, and facials for several years now and I would not think of going anyplace else. I would not hesitate to see Sunny or Tanisha either. Based on my observations they handle their clients with the same care that Dersiree provides for me. Alyssa gives relaxing massage treatments and is extremely sensitive to her clients preferences and therapeutic needs. I think of them all as a group of friends to hang out with, have a fabulous time, and leave feeling like a new person. Men as well as women are clients and all made to feel as if this was a personal spa.

I made an appointment with Sunny for a male waxing. Since I never had one before, I contacted Sunny and she answered all of my questions politely and patiently. She was kind and courteous and has a lifetime customer. I recommend Sunny to anyone, male or female that wants waxing done.

Completely disappointed and quite irritated.
I went in for a bikini wax which I had scheduled weeks in advance. Folks were friendly, but I found the waiting area to be cramped and not very welcoming (along with the rest of the building).
The woman who did my wax was friendly enough, but did a horrible job. I've been getting waxes for over 10 years now and I have never had a bad job. I got a standard bikini wax and was surprised to find that she missed key places - to the point that I had to go home and shave to make up the difference. In addition, she pulled so hard on one of the strips that I ended up with a blood blister (which looked like a giant hickey). Not exactly what you want showing when you're going to the beach for 2 weeks.
Needless to say, I will not be going back.

I had my first brazilian wax over a month ago and became a returning customer here. Sunny does an amazing job and helps you feel comfortable. Just wanted to say 2 thumbs up for getting your waxing needs taken care of.
I found this place through a Google search and am glad that I tried them out! I get Brazilians done with both Sunny and Tanisha and they are awesome!
I love the flexibility and convenience of booking my appointments online. There is plenty of parking and the location is conveniently located near Wade Ave and St. Mary's Street.
Also, Sunny and Tanisha use hard wax - something that I have not tried before but am now hooked! Waxes last longer and you are left with cleaner results.
I have already referred two friends and both had great experiences as well. The staff are great and will make you feel comfortable, especially if it is your first wax or first wax in awhile.

I saw Sunny for my waxing as she came highly recommended from a friend -- I can assure you that the hype about Sunny and Adara are true!
Sunny was very friendly and immediately made me feel comfortable. As already noted by other reviews, she was quick with the waxing and did the more painful parts first!

So I had a Brazilian wax done yesterday and it was the best worst experience that I have ever had. Sunny was awesome, she accomodated my schedule which was awesome and she is so nice and made me feel so comfortable.
The best part is it took all of 15 maybe 20 minutes and she did the most painful parts first which made the rest a breeze.
There is nothing pleasant about a Brazilian but this was quick and I am very pleased with the results

I recently visited Sunny Miller for a male waxing. Since I was a bit apprehensive about the whole process, I emailed Sunny my list of concerns beforehand and she addressed each one perfectly. My experience was top notch and Sunny was patient, courteous, professional and funny. I'd recommend Sunny and Adara to anyone who is considering waxing for the 1st time!

I just got back from receiving a male Brazilian wax or as they call it a "boykini." It was my first one professionally done and i didnt have a single problem or complaint. Sunny did an awesome job through out the whole process. Desiree was not sure on how to perform Brazilians on guys so i was politely asked if i minded that she joined Sunny and I so that she could watch and learn. I said i didnt have a problem with it and think that it actually helped the experience because she could hold the fan. On top of all that i had called 30 minutes before hand and asked if there was any open appointments and Sunny gladly said that she had an opening at 1:30 so it worked out great. Cant wait to get home and show my wife!

When I came into work on Monday I showed one of co-workers the botched highlighting job I had done using a store bought kit over the weekend. She immediately sat down at her computer to make me an appointment with Amanda, her hair stylist/colorist, for later in the week. I went into Adara with a pretty bad dye job and hair that was desperate for a good cut and style. Amanda was able to take care of both and I am now very pleased with the result and feel it's well worth the extra money over doing it myself and going to quicky / cheap walk-in chop shops. Ladies, leave these things up to the professionals! You?re worth it and the ladies at Adara will take good care of you. Amanda - thank you and I'll see you in 8 weeks :)
Pros: Cozy and personable, not huge and corporate. The complimentary soda was a nice touch too!
Cons: A little pricey compared to my normal store bought products and $10 hair cuts....it's worth the extra $ if you can swing it

I've been getting my hair cut by Amanda for 5 years. I followed her to Adara Spa, and love it! It is a great location, small and intimate, and everyone is really kind. Amanda has cut my hair, and done highlights. I always leave happy with the new 'do. Recently, I got brave and had my first bikini wax by Sunny, and continued with waxing throughout the summer. Sunny is wonderful at what she does. She puts you at ease, it really isn't that painful, and the results are terrific.
And, you can make appointments online, which is so easy and convenient. Go to Adara Spa, you won't be disappointed!

OMG I have had the best experiences at this spa! They offer so many services that I don?t need to go any where else. Alyssa?s massages will put you to sleep and you wake up so refreshed! I bought Gift Certificates for my family to get the same great treatment. They are open everyday except Sunday and you can go online and make your reservation or call them. Most cohesive group of works I have ever met to ensure a relaxing atmosphere. Once you go there you won't go anywhere else!

I've been to Adara Spa twice to receive a Brazilian wax by Sunny. From the moment I walk in, everyone is so wonderful. Sunny has always been very punctual and friendly.
I've had a Brazilian wax before but it had been several years. So I was quite nervous. But Sunny put me completely at ease. The second time that I went in I was so much more relaxed. I can't imagine going to anyone else. And I live 30 miles away, but the drive is worth it!
I also loved that I was able to easily set up an account to set up and change appointments online. I usually think of making an appointment (or changing it) after a place is closed. So this was perfect for me.
I've told all my friends about Adara Spa and Sunny. If you've ever considered getting a Brazilian wax or anything else, ask for Sunny. She is amazing!

In a frantic search for Raleigh's perfect waxing service, I stumbled upon the rave reviews of Adara Spa. My call was greeted with genuine courtesy, and they were extremely flexible with scheduling my appointment for the same day, even going so far as to take into consideration the distance I would be driving to make the appointment.
When I got a bit turned around in the parking area, the same bright lady helped me find my way into the building, even answering the phone this time with my name; and extremely personal and hospitable touch. You can tell these ladies really want to make their clients feel special, even before you walk in the door.
The facility is very clean, warm and inviting, with enough privacy for clients, and plenty of sunlight. I was greeted warmly by Sunny, who was apparently not only the kind woman on the other end of the phone, but the lady who would be providing my waxing service. Sunny was not only professional, she was extremely precise and also wanted my input as we went along with the removal. She was extremely accommodating. Her method of waxing is nothing like the painful strips I was used to ( and lived in fear of ) with my visits to other salons in the past. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have felt not the slightest bit of irritation or soreness since 10 minutes after leaving the appointment. Sunny really knows what she's doing; I highly recommend her to the woman who wants perfection, who insists upon high sanitation, who enjoys banter with an intelligent well travelled woman, and above all appreciates service with real working women, as opposed to the often times sterile, boring 2 dimensional providers at other salons.
This place, and these ladies are top notch. I'm so tempted to purchase my girlfriends gift cards to this place for the holidays, and I very much look forward to returning.

I love one-stop shopping. I can go to Adara and have Amanda get the knots out of my hair and then have Alyssa get the knots out of my back. They are both great at what they do - expert, professional, and very friendly. I always leave there feeling relaxed no matter how tense I go in.

Amanda is the gal for you!! She helped me soften my image, yet kept an edginess to the cut more suiting my personality. You see, Amanda "reads" people very well, while still being kind. Further she is straight forward, yet funny. A hard combination to possess, much less discover! Yet there she is at that cute little Adara Spa.
Honesty and strength of character mean a lot to me. Amanda has it all. In spades.
So give yourself a treat: Go see a REAL stylist. Visit Amanda and tell her, "Roeger sent me!!!". You will find she has a great laugh as well!

I got the warm stone massage with Alyssa, and it was sooo relaxing! She is very friendly and professional, and put me right at ease. I had never gotten a stone massage before, and LOVED IT! It is highly recommended :)
I have been to a lot of stylists in Raleigh. I never quite found what I was looking for, so I ended up doing my own hair for years. My long time friend recommended I go to Katherine. She has cut and colored my hair several times now. She listens to my wants and needs and I feel comfortable taking her recommendations. I would highly recommend visitng Katherine. She is a great stylist!
I went to Adara Spa for my first brazilian wax and it went wonderful! Sunny Miller was very professional, but made it easy for me to relax and feel comfortable. She was also great about listening to my concerns and answering all of my questions, and making me as comfortable as possible! If you are thinking about waxing ANYTHING I would definately recommend going to Adara Spa with Sunny Miller! I also found the prices very reasonable and the services offered extensive! I plan on going there for all of my spa needs from now on.

Sunny Miller is one of the only LCN reps in this area. Nails are done with gel and are just the best. They don't break and I always get great compliments on how well my nails look. I would recommend Adara Spa for hair as well as love the color and cuts I get from Amanda, Awesome spa!

I would like all of the Triangle to come to Adara Spa. I have been getting my nails done from Sunny Miller for over 4 years. She is not only a great friend but very professional, and an excellent nail artist. I call her an artist because it is an art. I get compliments all the time, even after it has been 3 weeks. Sunny is the best. Please go and experience what I experience.
