If you can make it through the door without the greeter either not making any eye contact or just simply pretending that you're not there at all, then you're lucky. Which is rather odd, because the greeters seem very flirtatious with other staff members including the managers while I'm working out...

Yes, their facility is kept a bit better than Spring, but it's obvious that customer service is a lost commodity at any LA Fitness including Klein.

Their Yoga and Pilates classes are pretty much ran by overly sensitive ego-maniacs who regard their ability to keep students beneath them rather than happy and feeling good about the workouts. Several students in many of the classes have left with injuries right in front of my face from teachers purposely pushing students into poses and moves that are way too advanced without any moderate alternatives, and after speaking with management and owners of the facilities that taught those teachers, nothing happened.

Most importantly, the LA Fitness franchise does n't even allow customers a format to respond to any problems or leave comments. In other words, they don't really care, and if my membership was n't such a good deal, I'd no longer be there.

Stay away...:)

The facility itself is pretty nice, but the staff is aweful. When I started at LA fitness I had a BMI of 21.6. I was told that I was overweight and needed to reach a BMI of 19. FALSE. I went home to look it up and normal BMI for females is 18.5-24.9. They just wanted me to "invest" in a personal trainer. When my husband and I tried to cancel our membership, we talked to the front desk and were told that everything would be taken care of. We were still being billed a month later. When we called to complain, the same woman we talked to at the front desk told us we did not complete the proper paperwork and she couldn't call us because we gave her the wrong phone number (funny how they had the right # when they called 2 months earlier to tell us the bill wasnt going through on our credit card). Anyway...if you need to cancel, ASK FOR THE PAPERWORK. We had to make a call to the better business bureau to get our money back.

I would have to agree with Lisa, It smells in the facility as well. I had to wait for equipment both at LA and 24 hr the commercialized gyms are all about the money and they could care less about the members. even if the facility says they are mo to mo it takes 3 months to just cancel it. I just want to go to a place where i can work out, the people are friendly and if I need help I can get that. At LA the sign you up and then instantly your bombarded with training packages which are insane. I heard about this place, spring fitness, so im going to check them out. On there website it says family friendly center plus they just built a new gym. If anyone wants to make a switch you can look at www.newspringfitness.com. Ill let you all know how it works out! plus there reviews are good...

DO NOT get a membership here! The place has terrible equipment that is constantly breaking down, the basketball court is essentially never available, and they keep the facility really hot with no fans anywhere for a breeze! In addition, the staff doesn't have a clue what they're doing. We canceled our membership, and the person we spoke with told us everything was taken care of. We had given the required 30 days notice, but then, alas, were charged again 2 months later! Upon questioning it with the Operations Manager, she told us that her staff doesn't make mistakes and cannot refund the money. Apparently we were supposed to have filled out some cancellation agreement, but the staff never gave it to us! Instead of acting in a professional manner and giving customer satisfaction, the manager refused to budge and just insisted that her staff wouldn't make a mistake - essentially calling us liars. This manager is more worthless than the facility itself. In a time when workout facilities are in great competition with each other, this place sure knows how to lose! Not only are they rude and have a crappy workout environment, they like to steal from their own customers. Spend the extra money on a better place or spend less money on 24 hour fitness - it's MUCH better!

I just got off the phone with "Nick". I was simply calling, interested in finding out information about joining their gym. This fast talking guy started going down his list of questions of why I wanted to join "their" gym. My question is why should I join their gym over their competition in the area??? After I told Nick I wasn't interested in going though all the questions, after about the 5th, I just simply wanted to know the costs and benefits. He exclaimed he was not going to give any information like that over the phone and I needed to come in. I replied "OK" and he hung up on me!!! I'm not sure what the membership is like there and still no answers to my questions. If this is their "Front Line" person to give a good impression on a person ready to join a gym, he failed miserably! Needless to say... I will be going down the road to another gym. The other 3 gyms in the area I called actually took the time to talk to me on the phone. If this is the sales person -- I hate to see the rest of the staff!

I have been a member of alot of gyms in spring. although La Fitness is not quite as fancy and big as Lifetime Fitness, I have never had to wait to use any equipment and the staff does not harass you like at other gyms. print a guest pass online and check it out
