We have been several times and last summer bought a home in St. Augustine and will be moving there in about 18 months. We enjoy evenings at Sangrais listening to the great smooth jazz and the soft candle lighting makes for a great romantic atmosphere.

Pros: Great wines and music!

Visiting St. Augustine for a mid-week break we stopped in to Sangria's on a whim on a Monday evening, and found we were the only customers there until another couple came in halfway through our meal. We had the cheese & fruit plate: a sample of 6 different cheeses with some fruits and plenty of delicious rosemary foccacia bread. This was surprisingly filling. Then I had a spinach/cream cheese stuffed phyllo pastry served on mixed greens - good, but not great and especially for the price. The portion was small and the stuffing underseasoned. My other half had the seared tuna - this was good portion size but a little overseasoned. The spice rub/crust was a overpowering and detracted from the sushi-grade tuna.
The ambiance in the bar is really nice, art on the walls, softly lit with candles on each table, although the choice to show Seinfeld reruns on the TV above the bar was odd. The service was good too, and the wait for the food was a strong indicator that each plate was freshly prepared. I also had a glass of sangria (I don't remember the name, it had pineapple and orange in it) and the large 16oz serving justified the price. It was great, not too sweet. Overall, I recommend the bar/restaurant but we'd probably try a different entree plate next time.

Pros: Intimiate atmosphere, great tourist location

Cons: Pricey - $75 for 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 drink

It is a really good place to add to your pub crawl for the downtown area. We stopped in to listen to a few songs and get a cold drink!! Fun was has by all. They have very limited seating and you can fell a little uncomfortable just standing there!!!

The sangrias are so tasty and huge! You get what you pay for at Sangrias Wine & Piano Bar not a watered down grape juice. I am now spoiled because Sangrias Wine & Piano Bar has the best sangrias in town. I have tried sangrias at other bars downtown and none compare to Sangrais Wine & Pinao Bar's sangrias! The Jazz is cool and the low candle light sets the perfect mood for relaxing and dancing.

A true gem for St. Augustine. Trendy (very NYC feel) but relaxing wine bar, many types of Sangria, 7 varities, we tried one which was very good. Over looks St. George street. Great atmosphere.
