Soho Salon

Ever since moving to Cumming from the Kennesaw area, I have been on the hunt for a GOOD salon. After trying a couple places out in the area, I had just decided I was going to have to travel back to Kennesaw to my trusted old salon I had been going to for years. Well, that is until my last cut at the old salon left me looking for more within just a couple weeks later. After realizing that my stylist didn't shape up my cut the way I wanted, I was on the move for a well-reviewed place in the area. I stumbled upon Soho online and read the great reviews. After reading them, I had to try them out for myself. I called and got an appointment for the same day with the owner, Chad. When I went in, I was so pleased. Chad was very nice, friendly, and listed to what I wanted and talked to me about it in depth. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing and asked my opinion and if I wanted anything different each time he did something. Even one of the other girls who worked there observed him cutting and commented on how precise he is. The salon uses Kerastase products, which I had never used before, but am definitely interested in after seeing my hair in the salon. I will DEFINITELY be back to Soho - likely making it my go-to salon from here on out!

When I moved to the Atlanta area, I was in search of a great salon and I found it....Soho Salon! They do great color and cuts, for both my wife and me. Erica does a great job and the entire staff is very friendly.

Erica is always on time, which is key for anyone that keeps a busy schedule and that is all of us!

I wouldn't hesitate recommending anyone to Soho for color or cuts; they are great!

I have been to so many salons and have never had such a wonderful experience. Paula is a gem and really knows what she is doing. I did not feel like she was in a rush while cutting my hair and she made me feel so comfortable. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted and she transformed by dry hair into exactly what I wanted. She was gentle and thorough and after being to other salons such as Aria, I can really appreciate that. The atmosphere in the salon is wonderful and everyone seems so nice. All I can say is that Paula is extremely talented and I plan on coming to her for all my haircare needs. She didn't pressure me to buy anything or anything. Just a really really wonderful person. Please give Soho and Paula a try. You won't regret it cause I sure know I don't. Best haircut of my life.

The atmosphere at the salon is extremely nice. The staff is very friendly.

And my major discovery at the Salon is the beautiful and talented hairstylist "Paula" who can transform curly, wavy, frizzy hair into smooth and beautiful hair.

So Paula and her magic tools has given me the best hair experience in years. Paula is amazing with hair straightening with the big brushes, she doesn't rely on the flatiron. She only uses it for touch ups at the end.

She also chose the best Chocolate hair color for me!! And I love it!!!

Again, after trying so many Salons and so many stylists! Soho Salon and Paula ARE THE BEST!

Just had my hair cut and colored today with Chad! It has never felt so healthy and I absolutely love my highlights and layers! Chad always makes me feel so pampered and gorgeous! You will love their products too!

I followed my stylist here from another salon. My stylist, Andrea, is wonderful, as is Soho. Relaxed and welcoming, they even have coffee, sodas and popcorn in a small cafe waiting area. Andrea was able to fit a haircut for my husband in while my color was processing, and the color she produced was just what I was looking for. I highly recommend this salon - it's very welcoming.

I have almost black (with a little bit of grey)long hair that is very fine. In addition, I have stubborn cowlicks and wavy hair. Need I say more? I adore being very blonde. I have been through so much to get to Paula. I even had to have hair extensions once when a hairdresser left bleach on too long. Anyway, enough of the background.

Paula started doing my total hair care in 2006. Thank goodness I found her. I am a High School teacher and believe me my students are not shy when your hair isn't impeccable. My students even ask me where I get my hair done so beautifully.

Paula does it all with confidence and makes you feel rejuvinated, even if it's just a wash and a haircut. She goes out of her way to make sure you have a totally relaxing, rewarding experience each time. She takes her time and makes sure she knows exactly what you are looking for. I always feel like I've gone to the best salon and spa in Paris without the high cost. I have never been so happy to recommend a hairstylist in the 30:+ years I have been coloring and highlighting my hair.

Erika has been my stylist for over 10 years and we LOVE her. She not only styles my hair but my daughter's too. Many people ask me who does my hair based not just the cut but the color. Her skills with color are second to none. I have referred many friends to her and they all feel the same. She also does my daughter's keratin treatments and believe me, it is a lot of WORK for her but she does it with a smile on her face. She gives her opinion on what would work and it is very helpful. The salon itself is fun, inviting and very comfortable. It is always a fun place to visit! We will be coming to Soho for many years to come!

Chad and his crew at SoHo are great. They LISTEN, and then do. And if you show them a picture of your desired look and they don't think it is right for you, they'll CONSULT. Imagine, professionals consulting. Novel concept, but one I have seen employed at the salon over and over again. I love when I say I want to do this and they show me a way to get to where I want to go while all the while making sure it is the right thing to do!

Great ambience, laptops to use while your color processes, AND hidden orange soda, if you know who to ask... :-) LOVE SOHO!

Never try going from brown to blonde at the house! I needed help bad! I went to 3 different salons, spent lots of $$ to get my hair back. Seemed as if no one could get it right. I finally got smart and did a little research, found Soho.

Chad was awesome! He said instead of a color correction we are going to do a color redirection (clever). He did a solid color, added some highlights and low lights... gave me a sweet deal and my hair, after all the turmoil, looks better than it ever has.

The whole place was great! Everyone was friendly and I felt extremely comfortable!! Soho comes highly recommended... this is my new place!! Woohoo!!

Driving past due to fact I live so close to SoHo salon- called and they got me right away- Melissa did my color that really needed help and Carrie did my cut that needed more help than the color. What a pair- the color is so great and the cut is really sharp- I feel like me again. They were both great on spending time to make it just right I never felt rushed or that I was taking too much time-the prices are great, the whole thing was really great- this is definately my best new place. I went to Soho after buying a Groupon on line. Robyn gave me beautiful highlights and shaped up the bad cut I had in the spring at another Salon. I just went back to Robyn again last week for my 2nd cut and she is mbse!(my best stylist ever). She is so talented and fun to talk to. Thanks Robyn, see you in a few weeks! p.s. I desperately needed a new salon and a new stylist. So, I Googled something like "Best Salon in Alpharetta" and Soho Salon was at the top of the list...After looking at their stellar reviews- I booked an appointment with Chad. I am so glad that I did! First, Chad is very personable and honest. My hair had been fried and dyed by my old stylist at a different salon and was in a disaster state- chemically broken, dry and just downright terrible and ugly!

Chad took the time to do a strand test to make sure that my damaged hair could handle the highlights that I wanted without breaking or melting the hair any further...(A strand test!!! Now to me that was seriously impressive! As most salons are so rushed to get you out of the door and on to the next client) Test strand came out great- highlights came out perfect!! Absolutely exactly what I wanted! Between the new highlights and the new cute cut I am thoroughly pleased with the results, the service and overall this salon along with Chad has won me over as a new client! Bravo! Keep up the great work.

Paula is the first hairstylist ever to give me hairstyle I was looking for. I need a cut every other month so I have tried a lot of hairstylists and salons in the past 3,5 years since I moved to the States! Paula is the best. She made me feel comfortable, looked after and at ease but most of all I loved the lightness of her hand. She did the cut fast, gently and to absolute perfection. I love the compliments I get!

While searching for a new hairdresser, I read all of the great reviews Soho Salon has. I was in need of a serious color correction. My last stylist apparently didn't listen to my needs. I gave her 2 chances to correct my unwanted color, and it only got worse. I made an appointment to see Chad. He walked me through the salon, showing me where everything I could possibly need or want during my visit was. Then we sat at the table, and discussed all of my options for at least 30 minutes. I really liked the fact that I wasn't rushed through the process. What I thought would take plenty of sessions to correct, was done in just a couple of hours. For the haircut, he shaped it up, with no real big changes. Again, I was there for the color. I left the salon, and couldn't be happier.
Another plus was that it didn't cost me a second mortgage to achieve. I was expecting a huge color correction cost, when in fact he just smiled, and told me the cost upfront. No surprises at the the check out counter.
The other staff members were friendly. No snobby attitudes was another plus for me.
I will be back, and I WILL spread the word.

When I had a hair disaster, Tracy Stephens was able to correct everything. She has the ability and creativity to repair bad highlights and make your hair better than ever. I will never use anyone else!

SoHo salon is a comfortable atmosphere and Tracy does an amazing job!!! She does my highlights and cut and I always walk out loving the look she's created. She's easy to talk to and makes sure to find out what you want before getting started. The best part is the end result is actually what you asked for - only better! Definitely come see her!

Tracy is wonderful at all kinds of color. I have grey's to be covered and Tracy uses highlights lowlights and an overall color at my roots to blend everything away! My 14 year old daughter loves her cut and highlights. Comfortable atmosphere and Tracy always brightens my day.

My teenage daughters and I all love Melanie. My 15 year old went in today and was amazed that Melanie knew exactly what she was talking about when she decribed she wanted her hair 'choppy' - she couldn't believe it!!! Her hair looks GREAT and she can't quit smiling - THANK YOU MELANIE!!!

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff! Robyn is soooo talented. BEST haircut I have had in a decade hands down! The color is soft, highlights and lowlights are subtle and gorgeous! I am soooo pleased. Just moved to Georgia and was worried about finding a new hairstylist . . . Robyn is as nice a person as she is talented! I am thrilled with Soho Salon!

I have tried many of the most well-known salons in Atlanta and I have to say that Soho Salon is great. I have gotten my color done with Chad for years. My sister and mom also get their hair done with Chad. We love the laid back atmosphere of the salon. My mom is extremely difficult to please, but Chad manages to always make her very happy. I would definitely recommend this salon.

I am always hesitant about visiting a salon for the first time, but just moved here to Atlanta, so had no choice. I met a girl in the supermarket with fantastic hair, I asked her where she gets it done and she gave me the name of the Salon. She told me Soho in Alpharetta. So I did a little research on this site, read all the positive reviews and gave it a shot. I was not disappointed at all! I could not be happier!! My color, highlights, and cut all rock!! The staff rocks, very friendly. I found my place!! Woo-Hoo, first times a charm!

Last week, I decided to be cheap and use box color to cover up the roots on my already highlighted hair. Well, needless to say, my hair turned bright orange and was a terrible mess. I called up Soho and Chad & Cassie were nice enough to fit me in their schedule the very next day. Within an hour, Chad took the orange out of my hair, turned me back into a blonde, and then Cassie went through and highlighted some areas to give me a very natural look. I am so happy with the results and don't know what I would do without the staff at Soho! Everyone is so friendly and they do a great job with color and cuts. Go see Chad or Cassie-- they do miracles!

People notice the precision quality cut every time I visit Mel at Soho. I enjoy the people and atmosphere while I get a custom cut designed to look my best even when I want to change my look. The un rushed luxury is refreshing. I love that place.

Mel has been doing my highlights... and they look so natural. She delivers on exactly what I want. Before coming to Mel, I had to fight my highlights being too chunky, too bright and even had someone tell me that I needed to add low lights. I've been going to Carrie for four years now and every time shes given me a cutting edge hair cut. One of the most artistic and creative people Ive ever met. I've followed her all over Atlanta and Soho Salon is by far the most enjoyable salon Ive ever been too. NOONE else will ever cut my hair again and Im a Cosmologist.

I have been so happy with Carrie, my hairstylist at Soho, that when she recommended Melissa do my highlights, I had no reservations. Melissa is an artist in her own right; she is easy to work with, and goes the extra mile to produce the results I desire. Its great to be able to have both Carrie and Melissa working together to create my personalized look.

I moved here from FL about 8 months ago and dreaded having to find a new salon... thank goodness I found Carrie and Mel at Soho on my 3rd haircut and now I don't have to worry about trying anywhere else :) The drive is far (50min) but SOOOO worth it - try it, you won't be disappointed!!!!

Like most women, I have circled Atlanta in search of a true Stylist. Tracy is it!! She actually "listens", spends time discussing your hair, concerns & desires. She gives a great cut, color & style!! Been doing my color for years. Once Melissa colored my hair. I didn't want anybody else. She really listens and cares. She pays attention to my goals and my lifestyle and makes me beautiful! The color lasts and lasts and looks so natural that everyone thinks I am really young and blond.

Melissa has trained with Vidal Sassoon in Chicago and has many years of experience doing color. She was able to assess what would best complement my hair color and provide me with a great look!

Besides that, she has a great personality and is really willing to work with you to get the look you want.

i have been going to carrie johnson for a couple years now. followed her to soho salon from her previous place and its great, great atmosphere, very friendly support staff, and carrie is always excellent professional and alot of fun to interact with.

I followed Carrie who has been cutting my hair for 4 years from another salon. I was distraught when she left the other place but ultimately found her at Soho. She is awesome as she not only listens to what I want but delivers it in a friendly and efficient way. She is the BEST hairdresser I have ever had and Soho Salon provides her with a great environment - upscale but not snooty (as another review pointed out).

I have been coming to Chad since 1994. I have followed him around Atlanta until he finally opened up his own Salon in Alpharetta. I live in Sandy Springs and drive up 400 to get to him- totally worth it! Chad is so friendly and is always in a great mood! He always makes my day when I get there and my hair just keeps getting better and better. He is a great listener to have my hairstyle and hair color fit my lifestyle. I have recommended every family member and friend to him. You would be lucky to have him!

I have been going to Rachelle for almost 4 years now to get my hair done at SoHo. I see her about 4 or 5 times a year and we have a lot of fun! When I want a change, I tend to change my hair first. Hair can make or break your day depending on how you feel about yours. I totally trust Rachelle with my hair and she has never let me down. Not only do I leave SoHo with the hair that I want, but the time spent there is very pleasant experience. Rachelle is a professional, a very sweet person to talk to, and a fabulous stylist. Ask for Rachelle!!!!
