I took my Honda lawnmower in for service, while I did the usual maintenace of sharpening blades, oil changes, air filters and plugs myself it had been 5 years since the last full service. I was told they would have it done in two days which I thought was very resonable. It took four phone calls and two weeks before I got my mower back. They are close to my house but I won't stop there again.

Last week I was given GREAT treatment and service, but got the evil service writer this time (no names, but his initial is R).
My Stihl trimmer needed complete service after having Weno put it back together after I had messed it up. My mistakes were corrected so fast and courteously last time that I came back to Weno. (I had put the wrong kind of starter cord in it.) "R" took a glance at it, claimed I had old gas (gas was 3 days old), had water in the gas (again, new gas), and that the mechanic had put Stihl brand starter cord in it last time (he had not replaced the cord I had installed).
I guess he was offended that I had (very civilly) corrected him. As he walked away, he grabbed 3, maybe 4 work orders, shook them at me and announced that it would be 2 weeks before I got my trimmer back! When it had taken them 2 HOURS to put it back together 4 days earlier!!
I wish I could just give "R" alone a zero-star rating, but as a chain is only as strong as the weakest link, so a company is only as good as their snottiest employee. "R" brought Weno's rating down as far as his own, and since I can't give zero stars, Weno earns "R"'s single star.
If you get any other service guy, Weno is first rate. If "R" is at the desk, you'd be better off to turn around and leave.

I recently brought in my Honda Tiller, which I purchased at Weno, because the recoil mechanism would not unwind. Judging from his countenance, the service guy obviously did not want to work with me from the start, he quickly stepped out from behind the service desk to take a look at the tiller. He turned it on its side and checked the oil. He declared that it had no oil, the recoil wasn't stuck, and that the engine was locked. He said I should purchase a new tiller because it would cost just as much to replace the engine on mine. I went home and finally found the operators manual for my tiller. The service guy incorrectly checked the oil. To check the oil on my tiller, you have to lay it flat with the front of the tiller on the ground. The service guy laid it flat on it's side. The engine had plenty of oil. I then took off the recoil mechanism and quickly found that it was jammed. I played with it a couple of minutes, it seemed to work its way free. I reattached the recoil to the engine, and it started up like a champ.

My initial experience with Weno was very good, the guy who showed me the tiller when I purchased it was very knowledgeable and very helpful. This last guy..wasn't so much and almost caused me to spend an additional $400. Caveat emptor.

I have dealt with the great folks at Weno Power Equipment for years and they are the best!I have had minor and major problems and they always come through and the prices are great, it's always a pleasure when the bill is low and the repair is done right the first time!!Very courteous and knowledgeable staff and the management isn't afraid to get dirty either!

We took the lawnmower here for maintenance after it started hiccuping. They did a great job. It purrs again, just like brand new. Very busy on Saturday mornings!
