Tom Hess, Sheila, and the staff at Sea Sports are knowledgeable and patient with beginners. Training pool is on site. They have just about everything most recreational divers will ever need or want. Classes are frequent and conveniently scheduled. I have been snorkeling and diving for 30 years. Tom did talk me into a different snorkel. I was glad he did, it is the best and easiest one I've ever used. If you are looking to get certified or just want to update your skills, Sea Sports Scuba is the place to go.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff, great selection

Cons: 12' training pool, could be deeper and a little bigger

These people will try to sell you anything. Other scuba shops I have been to will give you honest recommendations about what you do and don't need. Sea Sports Scuba, on the other hand, will try to "upsell" you their most expensive gear, and try to convince you you need to buy all these tangential products that are simply not necessary for scuba diving -- e.g., bags, lotions, boxes, etc. I would describe them as used car salesmen, but that would be an insult to used car salesmen.

Cons: Service. Honesty. Attitude toward customers.
