I was looking forward to visiting this campground but left a day early very disappointed. We recently purchased a new RV and this was my first experience at an RV campground. At check in I was asked how may adults and children were in our party and if we had a golf cart. I explained we had one child and did have a golf cart.I was charged an extra daily fee for the golf cart we brought with us. There was no mention of age limits for driving the golf cart at check in. I paid the balance due for the two days we planned to stay. I was given a booklet, a map and and the walls were lined with advertisements for local attractions so I left with a handful of papers whiich I planned to look at later. By the time we got our RV parked and connected, it was time to eat supper. We drove the golf cart and found the on site restaurant, Sandy's which is a walk up window where you can order fast food. It was a cold March day when we arrived and the only seating was outside. Since it was too cold to swim outside, we went to the indoor pool which was packed with young children so we left without swimming.Early the next morning our son unplugged the golf cart and was turning it around waiting for us beside our campsite when a campground security officer pulled up and wrote our son a $50.00 ticket for operating a golf cart under age 16. Since we saw several kids younger than our son driving golf carts the night before, so we had no reason to think he was doing anything wrong. We went straight to the office and explained we were first time guests and were not aware there was an age limit, much less a fine. The receptionist at the information desk said they hear everyday from people claiming they didn't know about the age limit or fine. She also said they ticket as many people as they can catch. We asked to see the on site manager who was very rude. I asked if there was a posted sign anywhere to let people know about the age limit and fine. He said it was the responsibility of the guests to read the book to make themselves aware of the rules.I work for a large company that stresses customer service and making the customer happy, so I was really taken aback by the attitude of the manager of this establishment and would not recommend this campsite I guess the money they are making on the fines at $50.00 each makes up for the customers they lose because of it. We left a day early and drove to Apache Campground in North Myrtle Beach and enjoyed our stay there. Our son was not old enough to drive the golf cart there either, but we were aware of that so it was not a problem. I don''t mind following the rules if I know what they are.

This is a very nice campground to go to if you have an RV and don''t want to have to deal with a hotel or just like to bring your home with you. The place is very clean and the prices are reasonable.
