Jerome and Luciano came to my rescue as I was in dire need of finding a small, cozy venue for a baby shower. We planned on about 20+ people and wanted a stress free option so we could enjoy our guests, many who were out of towners and not have to worry about clean up, set up, food, drinks, etc. Normally Sosta Cafe isn't open on the weekends, but when approached about the idea, Jerome and Luciano were open to helping us out. They worked with us to plan food, date/time, expectations, etc and maintained consistent contact to ensure everything fell into place as planned. They were so friendly, great to work with, efficient and we couldn't ask for a better venue. The food was amazing, and everyone raved about the 3-bean fair trade coffee...most had 2-3 cups it was so good! It's a bummer the cafe isn't open on the weekends because I would definitely spend time there sipping a chai and reading a good book with a tastey Riviera sandwich. I highly recommend checking out Sosta, even if going for lunch or if you have an event coming up.

Cons: Not open on weekends

This place is awesome! It has great ambience and a friendly feel. They play an eclectic mix of music and showcase some great artwork, many from local artists. The food is delicious and is made with fresh, high quality ingredients! (and prices are very reasonable) Great menu variety and a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options - which is hard to find in downtown Raleigh. Great specials, drinks (great coffees, teas, alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) and desserts - try one of Jerome's decadent brownies!

Excellent Food! Very Fresh. Cool Variety of drinks from abroad and excellent coffee/teas. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is cozy which displays local artists work. Chill music completes the scene~

Brownies, Best on Earth.

I think this is a great new lunch option in downtown Raleigh. Tasty and creative dishes, not too expensive (the same or a tiny bit more than you'd pay at Carolina Cafe) and good vegetarian options. The curried chicken salad is great, and salads are fresh and tasty. Also a nice atmosphere. Thumbs up!

This place is really fantastic. Their sandwiches are so yummy & fresh - it's on the pricy side for a sandwich but well worth it. I hope their quality continues; this is another nice contribution to downtown Raleigh.
