Kroger Fresh Fare

I work next door to this Kroger at the Aveda Institute, so I go here for lunch almost everyday, and it never gets old!

"Murder Kroger"... "Gentrifi-Kroger"... "Kosher Kroger"... they all were preceded by this Atlanta landmark, the 'DISCO Kroger"! This 24-hour grocery store in the very upscale Buckhead neighborhood was once the adjacent neighbor of one of the hottest disco's in the nation. The Limelight, or "Slimelight" as some affectionately refered to it, shut its doors after a wild run in the early 80's but left behind a legacy. The Disco Kroger, who until recently had a disco ball hanging from its rafters, now only has a framed picture buy the door of the famous club to boast of its rambunctious past.
But as grocery stores go, this particular Kroger is only a slight notch below a Whole Foods. A great salad and hot bar, with a cafeteria to eat in, easliy gets my vote over"Whole Paycheck" just for it's reasonable pricing. And the best part is, giving it's ritzy address and Jamison Shaw (an elite hair salon) shopping center neighbor, celebs, blue bloods, Atlanta Falcon cheerleaders... are all bound to be bouncing around and grocery getting at all hours of the night.
Oh, if that dairy section could talk. "Clean up, aisle 69!"

Pros: Landmark of Atlanta, inexpensive compared to Whole Foods

Cons: Parking and Traffic

I love my Kroger Fresh Fare. Everytime I'm prepping for a home event I find every type of wine I could possible need here. Love It!

I love coming here and getting the chicken for lunch! It is always juicy and delicious! I love coming here for a lunch break with my coworkers; the variety allows everyone to be able to pick out something they enjoy and everyone is always satisfied!!

Do NOT shop at this store with their new manager. More than three (3) weeks ago I complained in writing about a problem I had in this store. The so call inept Manager, Daniel Thurman, NEVER took the time to address a factual problem. I called him this morning regarding the problem. He shouted at me over the phone and told me, "you are a problem customer and we don't need you shopping in this store." He then hung up the phone. Is this a place you wish to do business? Why would you spend your money in this store with a GM speaking disrespectfully to a valued customer? Because it is a cheap place to spend money? I told him, "if I were a white female, would you be this disrespectful and telling me to take my business elsewhere

This man is low_rent and clearly grossly INCOMPETENT!!!

I Just Love The Seafood Counter. Its Much Better Than Other Store. And I Just Love The Swai Fish Samples. Swai Is A Great Fish.

Kroger has something great with their new Fresh Fare grocery store. The fresh fare is right beside Gold's Gym, so I walked in the other day to pick up something for dinner. I was blown away with the new selection. Their seafood selection was fantastic as well as their deli section. It was similar to Whole Foods, but with much better prices.

I was an avid publix shopper but have switched over to kroger now. The prices are better, the variety is better and well... there just easier to get to. I LOVE the organic section.. the prices can't be beat and everyone who eats organic, knows that its not a cheap lifestyle so finding a deal when & where you can, is awesome.

I thought to stop in the new Disco Kroger / Fresh Fare Extradanoire this week when looking for a favorite vintage and label of wine just to see if they might carry it. Impressive, not only did they help me find it but it was seven dollars cheaper than I had ever bought it. Right Wine- Right Price and good service to boot!

Pros: Picked up hard to find vintage and saved $.

They actually have a wine stewardess at a grocery store. This place rocks!!
Not to mention it was quite a bit cheaper than the Publix i usually visit.

Their organic selection is fabulous and extremely fresh. I was quite suprised that this was a Kroger, however, they can go up against any other organic upscale market in Atlanta. Great Food!!1

I had a cookout over the weekend and got my meat from the new Kroger......the cuts were amazing, i even got the chef to grill one out for me. LOVE this place. I have started doing all my grocery shopping here.

I have always shopped here. With the recent change they have really stepped up their game. They always seem to have enough cashiers so that the lines are minimal, the self check out registers actually work. I have recently started shopping organic and the Kroger selection is easily 20% less than Whole Foods. Great grocery store in Buckhead.

This is the old Disco Kroger, its totally revamped. I had lunch at the bistro, food was amazing, but the line was a little long. Their organic selection was much better than i anticipated.

I ate here for lunch one day because Jasons Deli was too crowded and it was awesome. The selection is huge and the food was a great deal. I actually have business meetings there now because its relaxed and free wifi. Also, I was really surprised at the wine selection. very impressive

I LOVE the new Disco Kroger..It's now called FreshFare. The new name fits better! I love the chef made meals in the deli and the wine selection is awesome. The staff is always very knowledgeable and eager to serve.

Went shopping after work, but didn't realize it would be difficult to find a parking spot. Glad I waited, the store is amazing! This will defiinately be my new location to shop at! Just maybe not after work. " )

This is the old disco Kroger and it is totally revamped. The food at the bistro was yummy. Everything was freshly made and the service was extremely fast. I actually went for lunch and was amazed at how much seating they had available for a grocery store food section. Free internet? I was not even aware but will surely use this the next time i visit. I had teriyaki glazed Salmon, broccoli and mixed veggies and it was less than $7. AMAZING!!! Did not have too much time to look on my lunch break but the wine selection looked great. All this at a grocery store? Yeah, definitely come check them out.

It is easy to find everything you need at this location. They have a great deli, bakery, butcher, and pharmacy. One of the few places that I shop.
