The Mudhouse is the perfect environment for just about anyone. It serves as a hub of promotions, the quiet get away for the book worm or student in need of study time, and has been my rendevouz point many times for random meetings. The coffee is well made and they have tons of different flavors for smoothies, tea, and a selection of fountain drinks. You can also get delicious sandwiches and soup along with home made cookies and other treats. It's cost efficient and is one of the few places in Springfield with a casual, alternative environment thats safe, productive, and carries the best coffee in town.

These folks know coffee. This place is a Springfield gem. As residents, we buy our whole beans here for brewing at home - the only coffee we buy. We frequent the coffee shop enough they know our 1-yr old by name! This is not some coffee-snob joint with burnt beans. Like we said, these people know coffee, good coffee, and they want you to know good coffee, too. A little experimentation on what roast and blend you enjoy and you'll only buy your beans here, too!
The ambience is city coffee joint. Newspapers on tables, laptops open, a low hum of conversation, and coffee brewing in the foreground. If you can find a seat at popular times you'll find the whole spectrum of Springfieldians here - mommys, hipsters, businessmen, college kids, everyone!

Cons: Parking, Seating

Everyone knows the Mud House, it's the under-21 version of the MudLounge, just down the street. The atmosphere is cool with art and brick walls. The food is typical coffee house fare but mostly the kids are there for the social aspect.
