My friends always rave about this place so I was rather wary of trying it out. Surely it couldn't be as good as they say! Well, I was wrong. This place is truly great. I had their BLT eggs benedict and ate every last bite, then proceeded to daydream about it for the next 2 days. I'm not one for sweet breakfast/brunch, so I always appreciate it when a brunch place serves a good savory dish. My dining companion had a rather out-of-control plate of pancakes that were also very delicious. A tip: the wait is never as long as the hostess says. A lot of people get scared off by the estimated time and don't stick around.

I agree with the previous reviewer--I don't understand what all the fuss is about. My group waited for an hour and a half to be seated (and the host was quite discourteous) and the food was nothing special. I probably enjoy my meals at IHOP more.

The wait is ridiculous and the only good thing I've had there is the chocolate banana french toast. Everything else comes drowning in disgusting syrup/ice cream/etc. The sandwiches have also gone downhill within the past year or so and the meat is not as good as it used to be. Go figure, to me this place's popularity is inexplicable. Also, it's completely overpriced.

The breakfast is OFF THE HOOK! The french toast was TO DIE FOR! It can be a bit of a wait but it is well worth it! I am definitely going to go back!

The Bongo Room is a great place to get brunch. It has bright colors everywhere, which make it a lot of fun for kids. They also have really creative meals like (my personaly favorite) the cocoa-espresso pancakes with butterfinger cashew butter.

This breakfast/brunch dive is hip and there are lots of local Chicago people that stop by regularly. Breakfasts fresh and the service is pretty quick. The salmon egs benedict isgreat with with the warm hollandaise over it. Hash browns are sprinkled with dill and they are not greasy. The banana toffee pancakes are too die for! The sauce makes it. They have a seasonal menu with some ecclectic drinks. Sometimes you'll see the hosting drinking them and it just makes you want to oroder it! This is one of my favorite restaurants! Get their early before the line gets long!
PROS:
CONS: Long lines
