Love fancy fortune cookies! I order from this company all the time, just little gifts to send to friends and family and always have such a great experience with them. Erin is great and takes my orders over the phone and everyone I send cookies to tells me how fun and delicious they are.

I get email confirmations right away and always receive tracking information too! It's a fun, cute gift. The custom cookies do take 7 business days before they get shipped, but it's clearly stated on their site. So as long as you plan ahead and order with enough time you shouldn't have any trouble with delivery.

My only problem when I ship them to myself, is not eating them all!

I ordered some cookies for Valentine's Day. The website said production can take seven business days, but fortunately included a spot on the order form called "Date I need my order" and "Date of my event." I counted out the days and upgraded to 2-day shipping to make sure I got the cookies in time.

Received an email with a confirmation, including confirming the date I needed the cookies.

So far, so good, right? Well, this is where the customer service drops off the cliff.

I logged onto the website to check on my order status. No record of my order. I emailed for a status update. No response. I called. Busy signal. I finally got through on the phone on Friday, the day that my cookies were (I thought) supposed to arrive. The "customer service" person stated that they shipped Thursday, and would arrive on Monday. My event was Saturday.

I was flabbergasted. Let's look at all of the ways that this could have been avoided:
1) Give me an estimated ship date, or a way to track my order.
2) Recognize that the order was going to be late and contacted me ahead of time.
3) Before shipping, checking with me to see if I would like to upgrade to overnight SO THAT MY COOKIES ARRIVED IN TIME FOR MY EVENT.
4) Shipped the cookies with a cheaper shipping option, because they weren't going to make it on time anyway.

Instead, they gave me no updates, charged me for the (pointless) 2-day shipping, were totally unapologetic on the phone, and didn't even provide an excuse (other than "we don't do X," with X being any of the standard customer service things above). Apparently, they ask you for the date you need the cookies for NO REASON AT ALL (other than to make you falsely confident that they care about that date).

Horrible customer service. Please spare yourself the agony of dealing with these people.

P.S. I never got a tracking number. I kind of thought that was standard in this day and age.

P.P.S. The cookies arrived on Tuesday. So much for the 2-day shipping that I paid for.
