I LOVE boarding my horse here. They have an indoor and outdoor arena, hot & cold water shower stall, and the trails across the road are great. The pastures do have burr bushes in them but we plan to all get together this summer to dig them all up. I used to have him here when things weren't so good but now there is a new manager. She is awesome at keeping things up. The pasture horses always have hay (in the winter) and water. She is constantly fixing things that have been broken for years that nobody else wanted to fix. This barn has really turned around. One of my favorite things about it is that there are never certain times you can't use the amenities. I also never have a problem finding people to ride with. Some of us try to meet up at least twice a week to play with our horses in the arena or trail ride on nice days. It is a very laid back barn where everyone pretty much works together to help each other out. You can choose to be self-care where you get a stall for your horse and a stall for your stuff, plus a big pasture to turn them out in. Or you can do pasture boarding where they provide hay (in the winter) and water for you. I think this place has had a bad rap for a long time but I highly recommend people give it a try.

Pros: Indoor & outdoor arena, great trails, close to home

Cons: The pastures don't have the best grass and have burr bushes.

Well boarding my horse there was unpleasently surprised, it seemed at times that all the horses had hay but the other 2 that were with mine? They said they had ate it all but how can three horses eat a whole round bale in two days! They made promises to update the pastures that are horribly overgrazed there all dry/weed lots! And when the owners were gone I came to see my horse they hadn't been turned out in DAYS because of the rain but my horse was cut in his stall by what they said was a nail that was pertruding out and he cut himself...Had I not personally checked my horse he would have been lying there cut up all to hell and bleeding all over, there is no on site staff! And when you find out how much the boarding is there it will make you wonder..."where is it all going too"?

Pros: Close to home and at one point affordable

Cons: Too many to name

I have been a professional riding instructor for over 20 years and I have been riding a lot longer than that. I also grew up on a farm. I boarded my TB at Oak Creek North and she is still there. I have had no problems with the owner or her family. They provide round bales to outside horses but you have to grain your own horse if you want grain but if you want your horse to be grained then you pay more to do do so, only fair. The stalls are huge and they do turn out according to the weather. I am a very picky horse owner and my TB was out in the outside lot and I absolutly had no problems having her there. Yes, horses get pick on but they are horses. Yes I have seen a few ground hog holes but they acted on it as soon as it was reported. We had ground hog holes in our field at home it happens. I seen many stables where terrible things happen and I always felt at home at Oak Creek. The barn is rustic but I like rustic it has been around for 50 years so the place has stories to tell if you are willing to listen. They have an indoor riding arena with mirrors and an outdoor riding arena there are also park trails that are great.

Absolutely true...every word of it! This stable is horrible...owner charges for services not provided, stalls are pick through occasionally, horses on property starving due to lack of grain only being fed nasty hay, buildings not maintained at all, family that lives on property rude and back-stabbing (enjoys a free ride whenever found, owner will do nothing seeing as owner is a relation), people are deceiving and have no qualms about screwing you over. Your horse will get hurt; either by other neglected horses, by poorly built fencing with unraveling wire to twist around your horse?s legs, or by the holes in pastures as big as microwaves. Property was often damaged also (tack and trailers). In short, don?t board here; it will save you a lot of money and headaches.

Everything the above review says is absolutely true, AND THEN SOME! If you love your horse, find another place to keep it. You get nowhere near the level of care you will pay for here. Owners just don't give a damn.
