I live close to the Hamilton Ave/North Bend intersection where the College Hill Coffee Shop is located so I wander down there often. It's a great place to have breakfast or a light lunch or dinner. The menu has omelets, cereal and several choices of homemade quiche. Soups and sandwiches are available for lunch or dinner. Aside from the coffee, which is always fresh and available for you to buy whole bean or ground to take home, the desserts are scrumptious! I'm pretty sure they're homemade.
In addition to the coffee and food, it's a great place to relax. There are plenty of tables for eating plus a couple of cozy living room style chairs with coffee tables. There's a rack with the local free papers plus a few books that patrons have left so there's always something interesting to read. They have the Enquirer and I think maybe another paper or 2 for sale. There's free wireless access so I sometimes set up my laptop, grab a cup of coffee and a muffin and then horse around with my email. The staff is attentive but not intrusive and has never made me feel that I should hurry. It's not a big place so I've always felt comfortable. Especially on the weekends when there is frequently live music from local musicians. Check the College Hill Coffee Company web site (www.collegehillcoffeeco.com) for who's performing when.
Finally, there's an eclectic selection of items for sale that would make excellent gifts. Things like scarfs, gourmet jellies, tea, coffee cups, assorted knick-knacks, etc.

This place is an unexpected gem. The atmosphere is warm and cozy; the service is friendly and quick, the coffee and food are great. Add in the entertainment, and you've got a real winner. Plus you can shop for great gifts, find news of local artists and events. Altogether a great neighborhood hangout and also worth a drive to get here. Check it out!

The prices are good. The snacks are good. The staff is nice and friendly. They are helpful and the coffee is great. The only thing about the place is that it is not in a good area of town. People don't always feel safe when entering or exiting the place.
