Last night my daughter took me out for my birthday...I made the biggest mistake of entertainment in my life by choosing the funnybone thinking we'd get a good laugh. Joke was on us,Prices way too high comics way too low. Pathetic slimeballs. Only one good comic, there.out of five....another one was talented impressionist lacking content other than sick gay porn. Great comics use everyday items to touch everday lives...do these guys really think they'll go beyond the greesy little dives? To be on stage at a comedy club should require you to at least be funny. I won free tickets for August but I'm afraid this wasn't just a one time deal, I think there may be not so talented comics at the funnybone. You, the one good guy, you know who you are. You outclassed the rest. Go to a respectable club. You are too good for the unfunnybone. Wish I could get a refund. My daughter works too hard to waste it on the unfunny.

Last night at the Funny Bone in Station Square I, along with several other patrons, shared one of the most horrific experiences that ever took place in a comedy club. This grossly incompetent, rude, and uneducated waitress screwed up the bills of nearly the entire audience. But that wasn?t the worst part of it! Instead of being accountable for her mistake and poor judgment, she became argumentative, combative, irate and rude. She made a total ass of herself, and compounded her stupidity by perpetuating an embarrassing scene for the club. I was completely mortified. We were told, ?This is the way we do it here, we are not going to be giving out all of these separate checks!? ?You are going to have to figure this out amongst yourselves!? All this drama, when it was the staff that assigned everyone to a particular seat in the first place; and my seat happened to be next to a total stranger that had no desire to take care of my tab, or haggle over splitting a bill!
The bottom-line is all of the guest suffered the inconvenience of being detained because the Funny Bone employs a waitress that can?t add and subtract: even with aid of a cash register. She lacks the couth and the problem solving skills associated with the position of a server, and desperately needs to be relived! What I find the most unforgivable and the most damaging, was when we were all held hostage by the Funny Bone management, and forbidden to leave until receiving a hand stamp from the blundering server. In her moronic state, the waitress threatened to call the police if we left. She even screamed that to those who had already paid their portion of the bill, and were waiting for a stamp so they could try and salvage what was left of their evening. AND on top of that, she had the audacity to demand gratuity!!!!!!! GRATUITY?when there was nothing gratifying about the whole evening! This was truly a living nightmare!
Needless to say that was my first and last time in that establishment. I prefer the Improv on the Waterfront that actually has real entertainers and an efficient staff that does not write their guests orders on napkins. The service and the comedians are on a much grander scale, and there is no fee for parking. My advice to Funny Bone?s management is to invest in some remedial math courses for their staff and maybe a few flash cards. The next time this happens (and it will), they won?t have to object so strongly to separating checks because with a collective effort they may be able to pull it off! Either way, I will NEVER return to that establishment again!!!!!
