ECG was founded in 1993. At that time, ECG mainly provided asbestos consulting to various clients. ECG also developed asbestos removal project specifications for the Illinois Capital Development Board and conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for the Illinois Housing Development Authority. Since 1993, ECG has broadened its range of environmental services and has grown in both personnel and total sales. ECG now has a staff of 14, which includes 9 technical staff members. In addition to asbestos consulting, ECG conducts a wide range of environmental services including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, lead-based paint inspections, mold assessments, indoor air quality investigations, and soil and groundwater remediation. Major clients include the City of Chicago, Capital Development Board, Jones Lang LaSalle, The John Buck Company, Union Station, Northeastern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Cushman & Wakefield, Roosevelt University, Zeller Realty Corporation, Centrum Properties, and Ross Barney & Jankowski. ECG also services hundreds of residential clients each year. Other environmental firms provide similar services, but what sets ECG apart from the rest is our ability to keep the client's primary interests in mind. ECG understands the need to get the environmental work done as quickly and cost effectively as possible, and we bring that perspective to each and every project.

I had a consultation with Spencer on the phone and was very impressed with his thorough knowledge and professionalism. Then, another associate, Luke came to my house, was professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. The next week, I was emailed a report.
