The food was good...though don't go there if you're even trying to watch calories and/or fat. The menu options are all geared toward the burger and frie genre. And the previous comment about the gruff waitress was right on the money. She did keep the ice tea filled, but a smile or maybe even a two-syllable grunt would have been nice.

If you like a home cooked meal this is the place. Breakfast was great. I didn't like the lack of elbow room though. Or the rather gruff waitress. But all in all a good meal. Prices comparable with everywhere else, but the food was prepared as if I did it. It all depends on if you want to go out of the way for a meal or not, as the Swing Inn lies right in the middle of Old Town Temecula.

The Swing Inn Cafe is excellent.
You get well more than you pay for and the staff is wonderful.
Don't forget to share a cinnamon roll (yes - share - they are hugh!)
Recommended for breakfast or lunch.

This place is in beautiful Old Town Temecula. It is dripping in history. Make sure you read the back of the menu, it is fascinating. Or sit in the very back where you can read the funny headstones of a faux graveyard. When you walk in, you know it is original. It smells odl and looks old but it is all part of the ambiance.
They have .99 bisquits and gravy that are out of this World! It is two bisquits but you can double your order and be full all day on $2.00. Their drinks are huge so you rarely need to ask for refills.
The place is packed on weekend mornings so try to go around noon or so and you will be better off.
Service is QUICK and I do mean QUICK. You will be in and out in minutes.
Make sure you try (share) one of their Cinnamon Rolls. Better than anything I have ever found, yes, even Cinnabon. They are the size of dinner plates, warmed up, with butter drizzled all over them.
Oh and their pork chop breakfast it to die for. They bread their pork chops and cook them up. There are two of them with eggs, guarnteed to get your full for the day. I ever got to try their pie but they are about 8 inches high in filling.
Do not miss this breakfast!!! You just can't beat the price. You will just have to deal with the motorcycle noise and smoking as best you can.

PROS: Best breakfast I have ever had
CONS: Harley motorcycles are annoying, smokers out front also nasty
