You know I should have known when the inspector showed up. He was 20 minutes late, I took off work to be present, so I gave up an extra 1/2 of pay that day. The guy that showed up was not the person pictured on a roof in the listing. Matter of fact he did not get on the roof and the roof is a shallow pitch. I was told that it was not a requirement. I thought well maybe things will get better, I was wrong. Like in the other reviews I felt like I was paying for the inspector to smoke, talk on the phone and stand around. After closing and moving in I found numerous problems that I got stuck paying for, because they were missed during the inspection. One of the reasons I went with this Company is that the inspector also trains home inspectors, I thought well he must be really good. Again I was wrong, you know that old saying ""those that can't do Coach"" ? Well that seems to apply in this situation. I could go on and on about the report taking along time to get, missing obvious defects and wasting my time, but you live and learn. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Call around, get references and ask questions. One question I have is way would you show a man standing on a roof and imply it was the inspector ? Then the inspector doesn't even attempt to get on the roof. Oh yea I did have 3 torm shingles that cost me after closing, insult to injury.

Buyer be ware. This company is not bonafide, I am not sure how it can get A+ rating from BBB. \r
The inspector was late, asked for advance payment before even did any works, report was very late, did not know that one of the shingle was missing, did not know that one of the door seal was broken, did not know what the exhaust outlet look like, the inspector was wasting 75% of his time by smoking outiside and staring at the property without doing anything, and later told me that he worked more hours than usual (duh!). I had to hire other inspector, that's why I knew that this company/inspector is incompetence.\r

Pros: None - you'd better flush your money in your toilet.

Cons: Waste of money and time, incompetence

I would highly recommend you find someone else...ANYBODY ELSE. \r
First of all, the inspector was 10-15 minutes late to the inspection. Second of all, he seemed not to know how to use the equiptment (ie: the digital camera). He was extremely slow in doing everything and to top it off, someone called him during the inspection and he took the call--for 15 to 20 minutes DURING the inspection. \r
Being the type of person that I am, I was there for the majority of the inspection and would ask questions, in which he would give me technical answers (in which I had no clue what he was talking about and would simplify 10-15 minutes later). \r
It took them FOREVER to get me the report. My real estate agent and I had to call for the report that was supposed to be sent via e-mail within 24 hours. When we called the next day, he THEN mentioned to me that it took 24 to 48 hours to send a report. Ususally, most home inspectors give it to you the same day. \r
Conclusion, for an inspection that should have been over in three hours turned out to take more than four. If you have nothing else to do and want to waste $275 on crappy service, use Inspect Homes4u. But if you want it done right the first time, find someone else. HOME INSPECTION IS TOO IMPORTANT TO LEAVE TO CHANCE. FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

Pros: The lady on the phone seemed pretty nice

Cons: The actual inspection
