The owner hates public employees! In regards to a recent star tribune article he doesn't care about the sacrifices public employees make and wants them to make sacrifices when the food service industry is slumping. Does Mr. Jensen pay

The best breakfast south of the river. There is always a wait on Sunday mornings even early. Most entrees are huge. I can split an omelet and caramel roll with my husband and we are both full.

Jensen's Cafe has delicious breakfast food- their waffles, pancakes, and french toast are the best I have ever had. They also offer very good lunch and dinner options too if you are not in the mood for breakfast food. The service is very good also.

Jensen's Cafe offers an assorted breakfast, lunch and dinner menu very much unlike what you'll find at Perkins, Denny's or other family-style restaurants. Breakfast cuisines offer mouth-watering omelets filled with creme cheese and salmon, for instance. If you are looking for an appetizer with your breakfast, I highly recommend the apple cinnamon bread (three generous slices served warm). The bread alone with a cup of coffee can suffice for a breakfast! The hosts and servers are extremely friendly, making sure you have speedy refills of coffee or water. Prices are reasonable with an average breakfast at $8 to $9. They have a bright and pleasing ambiance in the daytime, turning the lights down in the evening. I would definitely recommend them for all to try. Jensen's is very close to the new Burnsville Performing Arts center, so I would recommend calling ahead of time on weekends if you want to have breakfast/brunch their. If they have a 50 minute wait when you call and you arrive 30 minutes later, your wait time will be reduced by 30 minutes from the 50 minutes they had. Also, they have a back room that will accommodate 18 people but if you wish to reserve it you need to plan on calling at least two weeks in advance.

I was looking for a local eatery to visit instead of your standard national chain store, so I could support my local economy.
I went to Jensen's cafe hoping to find a new place to visit with friends and family. I will return.

I went for breakfast. There was a small wait (the place is 'hoppin' on weekend mornings!) but it was tolerable. The food was well worth the wait. I had a 'kitchen sink' omlette. It was FANTASTIC. It was baked (unusual for omlettes!) - so it was fluffy and filling. Food came quickly, and the serivce was good.

I would return, in fact, I look forward to trying out their lunch and dinner menu.

I have been here a couple of times for breakfast, everything always being wonderful! Recently I went there and had the waffles with the strawberries and homemade whipped cream on top and was I delighted! The whipped cream was fantastic! Never had anything like it before. I would highly recommend it! Service was great and food is great! This place can get packed though, so if you are going on a Sunday morning, go before the church crowd lets out!

My husband and I went to Jensens Cafe n a Friday around 12:30pm. We both enjoyed the atmosphere, but that's where it stopped. Our server too way too long to some back after giving us more time to order, and when she came back, she was slightly abrupt and rude. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger which was not impressive at all for the price. My husband ordered an omlete with country potatoes, which he states was good. Our lunch total (without alcohol) was over $27.00. I think that this place is way over priced for the service you get and the quality of the food. It's a burger, and I'm not in Paris, spare me the half cooked meat and obvious frozen patty, please.
