This daycare doesn't care enough to make sure your child has his or her binky or bottle. Frequently, my grandchild showed up with someone else's bottle/binky. Worse, he was called by another child's name! This is just plain negligence. My grandchild suffered a serious head injury. Their explanation, he fell on a toy. The toy was immediately discarded. They minimized the severity, but when my daughter got there, she rushed him to the ER where he received 10 stitches He now has a permanent scar on his forehead. Again, no supervision. My 3 month old grandchild has recently been diagnosed with RSV, he is one of 6 infants in a class of 9 who have fallen ill with this communicable disease. The 2 yr old came home the following date with vomiting and gastrointestinal issues. In short, there is a serious infestation of filth and unsanitary conditions at this daycare. There seems to be no protocol or inclination on the part of the owner to insure the safety and wellbeing of the children in general. Workers have little supervision over the children, seen regularly on their cell phones. If you want to risk having a sick child, coming home with unexplained injuries, then take a chance with Mini Adventures... because they give mini care.

I recommend Mini-Adventure to my friends and neighbors. The staff is first-class and truly cares for the children. My son has attended both daycare and after-school care there for the past four years.
One of the best features are the facilities. They are located in a former elementary school building. As such, it has a large playground, a big field to play in (I'd rather have my son come home a bit dirty from playing outside than being cooped-up inside all day). It gives them a chance to catch grasshoppers, play in the dirt a bit and overall-be kids.
Second, they have a gymnasium so that in the winter and on rainy days, the kids can still run, jump, play ball, etc. My child was well-prepared for Kindergarten (reading, math, crafts, socialization, discipline, etc.) largely because of the work the teachers did with him.
They conduct frequent field trips to local playgrounds, parks and attractions.
The owner is on-site every day and is intelligent, caring and easy to work with.
We tried other "chain-franchise' daycares and frankly, they didn't come close to Mini-Adventures.

Who ever wrote the bad reviews is terribly wrong! My son has been going to Mini Adventures since he was about 2 months old and he is now 4 and I couldn't love Mini Adventures more.
I would consider myself very picky, and I searched and visited many daycare centers before choosing Mini Adventures and in my opinion you really can't do any better.

I have two kids at Mini Adventures, our family loves the school and staff. My husband is a teacher and he has commented on the excellent curriculum that the teachers prepare. Both of our kids love the school and all of the activities and field trips. I would recommend this school to anyone!

Mini Adventures is an amazing child care center. The facilities are neat and clean, the classrooms are colorful and organized, and my kids love the playground. Teachers are encouraging and loving, and know every child by name. The curriculua for each room is age-appropriate and fun. I have pre-school age twin boys who have gone to MA since they were four months old -- they love going to school each day and are more than ready for kindergarten next year. I also have a baby in the infant room - in addition to the care-givers being gentle and loving, they provide a daily report of ounces eaten, diapers changed, and naps taken. You won't find a better place for your kids.

Words cannot express how impressed I am with this childcare center! My son has attended Mini Adventures since he was 3 months old and he is now 4 years old. We have never had a bad experience there. The teachers are nuturing, provide a safe environment for the children, and hold high expectations for their growth across developmental areas. Ashton loves going to school every day. The facilities are clean and organized. Mrs. Gibson, the owner, is hands-on with the children and provides special activities for each developmental classroom. Children are special there and they know it. I would not hesitate to recommend this childcare center to anyone.

My family and I are so happy with the fabulous care we recieve here at Mini Adventures! I love that my son is loved by not only his classroom teachers, but by the entire staff! I know he is being challenged daily with engaging activities and new games and crafts, and his vocabulary has never been better. When he comes home at night, I not only get detailed stories of his day from his teacher, but he talks about the events of the day with so much enthusiasm that I often wish I was in his class! I haven't had a single negative experience from this center, and it is not my first, I have been at other, bigger and more expensive centers that don't have half the heart that Mini Adventures does. I read the other reviews before mine, and I just want to point out that in any public place a person is exposed to more germs no matter how clean the space is, and it sounds like those children talked about in the other reviews are much younger and therefore at a higher risk of catching whatever bug is going around. My son has been in care since he was 6 weeks old and that first year is a hard one for anyone. But now he boasts an ever growing skill set of social, physical, and cognitive abilities that rival those of much older kids! I am pleased to the bottom of my heart that these ladies here at Mini Adventures care so much and love so hard and the proof is in the pudding as my Grandma used to say.

I would recommend this center to anyone who has parenting goals of producing well balanced, loved, happy children who are truly ready for kindergarten when it is time to go. I love that my son is so blessed to have such a great support staff!!!

I also would not recommed this daycare and had an identical experience. Not only did my child came home filthy every day because bibs were not used during meal time but snot was crusted on my childs nose on a regular basis because they failed to wipe runny noses. I also requested that my child not use a binki (unless it was nap time) and would show up to see a binki being used; sometimes it would be another child's binki that my child was using! I was informed by the workers that if I failed to bring a binki for my child they have a stash of binki's that would be used in it's place.

The menu is terrible; specifically the snacks that are served (chocolate animal crackers, cheese puffs, donuts served on a regular basis) so I would bring my own food for all meals. The employees were clearly annoyed with having to heat/serve food other than what was being served on the menu. Dishes were beging cleaned (or not cleaned) in the sink in the room (which is against state regulations). My child was sick on a continuous basis and I am confident that the cause was lack of cleaning, sharing binki's and sippy cups.

On a DAILY basis I heard workers yelling at the kids and speaking to them in an extremely rude tone. If they are speaking to our kids that way when parents are in the building, how are they speaking to our kids when we are not there? Mini Adventures is advertised as a preschool but the employees are not required to have a 4 year degree's to work at this "preschool". I find this interesting.

The scariest thing of all, Mini Adventures is a highly recommended daycare. I will never send my child back and I will never recommend this daycare to anyone.

I recently sent my child to Mini Adventures day care center, and was looking for a new day care within weeks. I noticed things that were very concerning right away. My child came home filthy every day. I heard teachers yelling at the older children when I dropped off my child. The children were being fed cookies, donuts and cheese puffs on a weekly basis (even children less than 1). The teachers would give me an attitude if I asked them any question about my child, or if I had a reasonable request such as using a bib during meals, or try using a cup instead of the bottle. They would not speak to me when I picked up or snickered to the other teachers. It was so bad that I really did not feel comfortable dropping off my child. I would not recommend. I went into it with an open mind, and feel like I would have had to be blind not to notice all of these things. I know there have to be better day cares out there. I would definitely not send my child here again!!!!!
