Since I'm reviewing all the places I've been to over many years, I had to do this joint.

Allow me to set the scene. Arrival around 5pm with reservations. We were a large bachelor party and they promised (like we were to actually believe a promise would be honored) and we waited for roughly an hour. It was a cold May evening and that made things more frustrating, as the lobby was packed already. What's the point of make a RES and not getting seated quicker than someone without one? They knew we were a large party! Then the first of many insults: they seated us in the large uncomfortable booths, with our backs to each other!!! 4 tables deep and we all couldn't communicate!!!

Well, right off the bat I knew this experience would suck and it did. We finally got our order of appetizers and they were lukewarm and bland. Our drinks (I decided to have soda to save spending more money here) arrived sporadically at best. The ditsy waitress kept flirting with us (come on now, were here for food) and that mounted the frustrations even more.

Now for the food part. Can I still say YUK and be professional? Everyone brags about this joint and I failed to find a single reason to brag. Not to mention the horrible hillbilly music blaring and the slippery peanut shells lacing the ground. I got a steak with potato and rice. Uhuhuhuhuh...... The potato was a rock by the time WE all got ours. The steak was a rubbery impersonation of a shoe sole. Ladies and Gents, that's no lie. I didn't even come close to finishing it. Why complain? They didn't care when we complained about the waitress, appetizers and lack of drinks..... The food here is gross and overpriced. They even tried getting us on a gratuity but we protested because they split us all up between 4 big tables. How dearly unprofessional!

All in all, go somewhere else for a steak, it's as bad as you would expect from Red Lobster (which is next on my review list). Don't even waste you time.

Oh and to the folks who say they were from Texas living here now, if this is what you consider true Texas BBQ, my dreams of going there and trying what appears to be mouth watering are dashed forever. Thanks a lot....

Cons--Garbage food served by garbage waitstaff
Pros--Hahahaha,,,,???

We had previously visited the Road House....My 17 year old decided to have his B-Day Dinner there with all the family...several we had not seen for awhile. We called 2 days ahead only to be told we could not make Reservations until 1 hour before arrival....WE asked about seating...we had 14. We were told we could have the Big Table in back and if needed, they would push other tables together for us...O.K. Great....When we arrived, we ended up having to wait more than 1 hour before we were seated....even though we had made reservations. Our large group kept getting in everyones way and it was so loud we could barely talk to each other....The hostess kept opening the door for people going in and out and IT GOT DAM COLD sitting in the lobby...WE had 3 little ones who WERE HUNGRY and started getting cranky....I kept asking when we would be seated. FINALLY, FINALLY, after more than an hour...they led us to THREE tables BACK TO BACK...WHAT!!!! That wasn't what we were initially told..our guests kept getting up and moving from table to table to talk to others in our party....then we kept getting in the way of the waiters. Talk about chaos!!!Added to that...One table was served before the others so we were all eating at separate times...The KIDS were served LAST!!!I took 2 bits of my steak and ended up taking it home to my dog...it was that bad....others gave me their leftovers to add to the doggy bag....Busy or not...the food was not as we expected. When our bill came it was a jumbled mess...Because everyone was moving from table to table it was difficult to separate orders...There's much more....but why bother....All 10 adults stated "NEVER AGAIN"! You just lost our business FOR GOOD! Terrible experience....

Unfortunately, our child who attends the school is also sick tonight so we decided on take-out. Good thing too, it was a very busy night at the Texas Roadhouse. We ordered a full slab of ribs with a loaded baked potato and plain steak fries for sides. Our youngster ordered the lil chicken critters and cheese fries. What we brought home was the full slab of ribs, baked potato with cheese and bacon on the side, steak fries covered in cheese and bacon, the kids meal, and four rolls with what I think was cinnamon butter. (yum!)The ribs were great and fell off the bone as advertised. I wouldn't recommend ordering cheese fries when getting take-out because the cheese tends to congeal during the ride home. The baked potato was very good. It was a good sized potato covered in rock salt and came with plenty of toppings (butter, cheese, bacon) on the side. The chicken critters were good, although a little too peppery for young children.

Our total cost was just over eighteen dollars plus tip, however we did have a coupon for a free kids meal because our child read three books in recognition of school fundraiser night.

If you are looking to shed a few pounds, eat a salad and go for a walk. If you want a tasty steak or rib dinner at a reasonable price, this place gets our vote.

There is a long wait for food that is just so-so. It tastes better than it should because you get so hungry waiting.
If you want to substantially raise your cholesterol and gain a few pounds in one sitting, come here. Join the other fat people pigging out in this noisy, crowded place and wolf down a slab of mediocre, fatty beef. Anything healthy here? - forget it.

Texas is it's own world! We are from Texas living up here, and we absolutely love Texas Roadhouse. It's always great - the food, the service, the atmosphere, you name it!!

This restaurant was recommended to me last year. We really liked the ambiance. My kids really liked the fact that you could eat peanuts and throw the shell on the floor.
