And he said 1500 dollars said and done I belive I could get better servie from a mechanic working out of his barn and it would be at a reasonable price to would not recommed going to this place take it out of the truckstop book cause it not worth stoping the only good thing was the huddle house across the street

I've had my fair share of bad service, but Voss is definitely among the elite.

It's not the dirty bathrooms, or the insanely overpriced food. Most of the staff is exceptionally unprofessional, mean, and outright rude. We've been publicly humiliated and kicked out twice for completely ridiculous incidents.

The first time was after my best friend's graduation party. With a small group of his family and myself, he decided to eat at Voss because it was something different. Most of us got the buffet, but a couple people ordered a meal. It had been over an hour, and while all of us had finished our meal, my friend's aunt hadn't even had her brought out to her. She decided she wasn't in the mood to eat since all of us were finished. We got our often absent waitress' attention to let her know. She looked at us like we were the stupidest people she'd ever seen.

After 15-20 minutes of unwrapping graduation gifts, we're once again greeted by our waitress -- who now has the steak my friend's aunt canceled. She was very rude about it, trying to make us take it. Eventually she got the message and left...or so we thought. Shortly after, out comes the manager and in the snottiest voice tells us that someone "IS" paying for this steak whether they eat it or not. We politely explained the deal and why no one should have to pay for it. After the managers constant attempts to start a fight in front of all the customers, she stomps off to the back.

At this point my friend's grandma -- who was paying for everyone -- went up to the cash register to pay for our meal. A few of us went off into the gift shop section to look around. Within a few minutes Dave Voss is SCREAMING at us all the way from across the restaurant area. He comes stomping up to us with his army of waitresses, telling us "WE ARE GONNA GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS!" Which he rudely gestures with violently flicks and points of his finger -- like a dog. One of my friend's cousins starts trying to tell him the situation, and everyone froze because Dave almost struck him, but quickly stopped himself.

We follow then to the front, where my friend's grandma is STILL waiting to pay for our meal -- to which they hadn't seemed to notice. Without ANY apology whatsoever, they quickly ring her up and we left twice as fast.

The second time was due to a very ignorant waitress who talks to us like dirt in front of her buddies, and seemingly refuses to give us coffee refills. We have to get up every time to ask for coffee, and every time she rolls her eyes. One night she told us where to sit because she didn't feel like walking to the back to refill coffee...she said this in front of customers. So we sat there, trying to keep peace. She fills our coffee once...then not for 40 minutes. A couple of customers come in and go to the spot we were initially going to -- she says nothing. A half-hour passes: still no coffee. We get up to ask her for some, she rolls her eyes, finishes talking to a trucker, then refills our coffee. When we were done, we payed and didn't tip -- as you would expect for such awful service. We ventured over to the "touch-game" arcade to play some games, and before you know it we see a rather large and intimidating man walk over to us. "Hey," he sternly says, "The next time you treat a waitress like that and leave a mess -- you will NOT be served in MY restaurant. Understand?" We stare at him in confusion; who are you? He tells us that he is the cook and these are "[his] ladies", and their problems are his problems. One of my friends proceeds to call Better Business right in front of him, as another one questions his rights to speak to us in such a manner. He changes his tune, and keeps referring to my friend as "honey" and "baby". Once again, this has the entire restaurant staring at us. Eventually we leave and we're told we're not allowed to come back because we didn't tip an awful waitress.

My advice: go somewhere that three pieces of french toast doesn't cost seven bucks.
