I am Debbie Powlen owner of Day Care One, the bad comments on the site are from a past employee and her husband, we are a family owned business, with an LPN on staff full time, she also has a degree in early childhood ed/elementary ed. We offer a preschool program and my staff is well trained, very attentive not only to the children but to my parents. You can stop by anytime to chk. us out. We follow "all" state regulations and any negative comments are generally written by disgruntled past employees. My parents are very happy with our service, and we can set up a face to face with any one of them for you to talk with about the care we give their children. Horrible, the time my handicapped son attended Day Care One for 2 years was over a 1 1/2 ago. Current status of any kind is irrealavant because my son got very good care, and some of the staff babysat for me on their off time. So, don't hesitate to take your children to Day Care One

Troy E., the commenter below is living with the owner. Biased? You betcha. Troy E. Seele should not be a shill for his girlfriend. I know quite a bit about the owner and lets just say that it is not family friendly. Then again, what we do in our personal lives doesn't necessarily affect other peoples kids, right?

I don't know where this mb person was at but it wasn't Day Care One or she is nothing but a trouble maker trying to ruin a good daycare's name and reputation. My kids have gone there pretty much since they opened in 2006 and love going and have fun every day, she is a nutcase and doesn't know what she is talking about. They are a family owned business and the staff is very good, yes there has been turn over in staff, but that is typical, at least at all day cares my kids attened before, they are great, give them a try you will be happy. dk

I don't know what the lady below is talking about as far as the daycare being mean or disrespectful to any of the chilren in any way. I have a disabled/ autistic son who has attended Day Care One for about 2 1/2 years, I come in at all different times of day for drop off, I come in unannounced to pick him up for therapies and doctor appt. and pick up at varied times during the week. In the time I have taken him there and been in and out all times of the day I have never seen or heard anything like what she described going on I think I would know since I pop in and out unannounced that over the time I have brought my son I would have seen or heard something, I know who the person is that wrote the mean, untruthful remarks about this center, she is an x-employee who I was told quit her job, gave notice and went somewhere else to work. I don't know what her reason would be to write these things about this center but I have never had a complaint or worry about leaving my son with the staff at Day Care One and neither should anyone else, they are great,!TE

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your hard work and understanding with my daughter. She has been coming there for awhile now and absolutely loves it so much! She is my first child and it was hard to let her go, but as I watch everyone of you with her she loves you as much as you love her. She has learned so much already and is more social with other children. So to Debbie,Kari and all the staff at Day Care One thank you with all my heart. I also want to thank you, your building, education and dedication is wonderful thank you!!

Teachers at Day Care One are full of drama, and VERY MEAN TO CHILDREN. Often times they spank them, lock them in the owners office, even bang kids heads on the brick wall. They have no PATIENCE for children, not all the teachers are this way, but if your child is not "PERFECT" they are treated very poorly.

My children love Day Care One!!! They are family owned and operated. The boys are in their second year there and have been with them since they opened. Everyone seems to care alot for the children and their educational program deserves an A plus. We highly recommend it to anyone who feels their child deserves the best out there in child care.

My child has attended Day Care One for the past several months, they are great. They have a good pre-school program, the staff is good and the building is clean and smells "good". It is family owned and the owner and directors are great and bend over backwards to help you any way they can. Also, both directors are also nurses which makes me more than comfortable if an emergency comes up.
