I really can't rate these guys on the quality of their work, however, I found one of their trucks blocking an alley.... all the way at the end of the alley... without any signs or notice. When I asked the workers to move it and let me through the response was something along the lines of 'What, are you too F***ing stupid to back down the alley?'. I guess the quality of the work is ok, but blocking the alley is rude enough, responding in that manner is ruder. Frankly, based on that I would neither hire nor recommend the company no matter what quality their work is.

Totally satisfied. They trimmed a large oak tree overhanging my house and did an excellent job. I hired them after admiring the work they did for my nieghbor. They are more expensive than the guys working out of station wagons with no written estimates, I'm sure that's to cover insurance and experienced workers. My yard was left neater and cleaner than when they started. The deck and patio were cleaner also.

Hi, I let all customers know how are schedule is running. She was told we were running 2 weeks. Mr. DeClue told her we would try to fit her in at the end of the next week. We cannot put her before our other customers that had been waiting unless we run ahead of schedule are in the area. It was 1 limb. We called to let her know we would be there and she said she already had it done, she failed to call us and let us know she had it done by someone else for a cheaper price. Our contracts all have a failure to cancell fee of 65.00. Call BBB and Angies list to see our record of service.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with DeClue & Sons.I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. I was interested in a dangerous, dead limb removed and some trimming and raising. No one showed for the appointment. After calling, I flexibly rescheduled for two days later. After the estimate was given and we discussed my need to remove the dangerous limb, I agreed to the service and signed the agreement(my fault). I was told he would call me when he got back to the office to firm up the service. He said it was an easy couple hour job and that he could easily see doing it early the next week. Not only did he not do it the next week, I didn't even get a call for the service to be taken care of until 12 days later. I guess as soon as you sign, they are not that worried about getting the service taken care of or removing the dangerous limb, which could have fallen on my child, family members, my dog as it is hanging over the patio.By this time, I had called someone else, had an estimate the very same day and had the dangerous limb removed and trees clean up within the next 3 days. Then, they had the audacity to send me a bill of $65.00 for cancelling the agreement. I guess I should have had them sign an agreement for everything they stated they would do.Their motto is "We take pride in what we do". I can't imagine being proud of charging someone for a no show, calling 12 days later(knowing my concern of the dangerous limb) and providing no service. The price of the two companies was comparable, but the service and concern for safety was was not.
