Gladstone's only Tavern and Restaurant has been a landmark since I can remember. The local grain and elevator employees as well as farm hands and their employers find this as the hub of the hubub. The bar area has been revamped into a beautiful wood bar with collectables proudly displayed. The bartenders and owners are local folks themselves. They offer quite a spread when ordering their dinner specials and make sure that you don't go away hungry. They cater to the locals as well as out of towners who come here to enjoy hunting and and just nature watching. The local Lock and Dam 18 offers bald eagle watching. Beautiful Views! The Gladstone Lake offers nature trails and great fishing whether by boat trolling or bank fishing. In fact while fishing there one day summer of 2007, a school friend of mine called Graham's and asked if they would put on a pot of coffee for me. They did and it was refreshing after fishing the afternoon away. It's definitely worth the drive to enjoy one of their dinners or a short order item. Located one block south of the railroad tracks off of state highway 164 it is definetly worth the stop to enjoy Brenda and Wanda's hospitality and family atmosphere.
