My daughters were taking the escalator down to the first floor. I was at the bottom waiting for them and watching them. My daughters got on to the first step and then stepped back up a step. A girl dressed in street clothes and carrying a purse yelled in a very demanding voice, "girls!" I looked at her and wondered who she was yelling at so rudely. The only girls there were my daughters. I didn't mind her reprimanding my kids, but the manor of which she did it was unbelievable. My girls didn't know who she was yelling at nor did I. I continued to watch as they came down and so did she. Half way down she yelled at them again to "stand up straight!" I couldn't believe it. My daughters were standing with their hands on the railing and their hip resting on the side. Not doing a thing wrong. I approached her and asked her who she was and why she continued to yell at my girls so rudely. She informed me she was the safety manager. I asked her how on earth is anyone to know who you are dressed like that and with no store badge to let them know. She went into her purse to get out a badge but I was so angered by her tone and attitude that I left. I will not go back to that store and shop. She could've handled that situation in a respectful and courteous manner but she didn't. The only person I have ever heard talk to a child that way was an abusive parent that had been pushed to their limit.
