Life is full of little disappointments and Faroh??s is no exception. I look back fondly on our trips years ago to the old Faroh??s with it??s iconic giant candy cane out front, it??s rows and rows of fabulously rich and delectable candy, and it??s old school charm and craftsmanship of only the best in treats by a wonderful staff of aged and experienced artisans of sweets. Sadly it is now only a memory of my youth. When the old shop abruptly closed years ago, I thought it would be gone forever. I was thrilled to find that they had re-opened this year. As my father had done, and his father before, I jumped at the chance to get my four kids Easter candy from Faroh??s. While I realize it has been a while, and that I may be romanticizing a bit, but this candy was awful. The white chocolate did not even taste like white chocolate and it had a waxy texture and left a foul taste in my mouth for an hour afterward. The swiss eggs and peanut butter eggs were bland with the same texture as was everything else. The only thing that was the same as the Faroh??s of old was the name on the shop??s exterior. Unfortunately this is another Cleveland tradition that is now nothing more than a memory. If you are looking for a taste far more true to the original, head down the street about a mile to Bella's. I know I will.

Faroh has a fine selection of boxed chocolates, chocolate covered nuts, popcorns and many other tasty treats. I have ordered a gift basket and it was well worth the cost. Friendly, quality service.
