Sorry, but this vet is a total ignorant idiot. For the surgical procedure that she needed to perform, she had asked me what she needed to remove from my dog's body. I have recommended that she sets up a consultation meeting with Dr. Adam Mordecai who recommended the surgery. After the surgery was accomplished Dr. Ablin called to inorm me that she didin't know what she had removed but it had been removeed. This is an 'exteremely intelligent' statement delivered by the vet specialist/surgeon - my question is who was I dealing with???. In addition to all this due to a 'dirty procedure - biopsy' and my dog's heart murmur Dr. Mordecai neglected to provide my dog with antibiotics. I had to visit the facility next day seeking help for my dog's condition and it was only then determined that antibiotics were necessary. Too bad that I didn't contested all of the charges with my credit card company. These nasty practicies have to stop. My only recommendation is for all pet lovers not to seek help from this facility. Further, I will not recommend this place to anybody I happen to know that may need assistance with their pet.

A very good friend of mine took his dog here on a referral. After waiting in the lobby for at least 2 hours and watching one of the Vets come out to talk about their much needed landscaping project, they finally checked the dog out. He knew from the very beginning it was a bad idea after seeing how careless these people seem to be.

His dog was given care and so was the bill. Except the wrong kind of care. Jennifer asked about what medicine was given to the dog after she had already given the poor dog more. She wanted to keep the dog for a couple extra hours to see if there was a reaction, except she denies this with her every being now that the poor dog had OVERDOSED and had her throat close on her. We know it was an overdose based on the fact that the dog left much, much worse than she arrived and didn't even have the energy to walk when she had just jumped into the car on the way there a few hours before. This wasn't a dying dog. Although the illness could eventually kill her, this 5 YEAR OLD dog had bounced back from much worse the year before with little treatment. The non-imminent death is proven in he discharge papers. This Vet killed the dog.

We didnt even get the chance to start on the pills that we bought. When I called the following day to speak to them about this, I was told I would receive a phone call 3 days later after the weekend about a possible refund. Not only didn't I receive a phone call back, but they havent responded to any form of communication about this matter.

They will tell you all services and medicine are non-refundable. Which is understandable in most cases, but a Vet like this should be held to the highest standards. Vets need to understand that our pets are family members. If a person would have ended up the way this dog did, I wouldn't even be writing this review. My friend would be in court right now taking these people down.

Vets like this are there for one thing. Your money. Of course it's a business, but when lives are at stake and the only thing your vet shows up with is a bill and a smile as the landscape truck pulls up.....you better take your pet somewhere else before you're asking to borrow their shovel so you can bury your best friend.

We already knew our beloved dog was terminal--we actually had "the appointment" already scheduled for the next day with our regular vet. However, things went from bad to worse during the night and by 2:00 am we knew it was time... I'd already called another Animal ER much closer to our home, but they were very insensitive and less-than-helpful on the phone. When the first ER said that I wouldn't be able to stay with my buddy throughout the procedure (they said it was their policy to insert the IV privately and there were NO exceptions), I knew I had to go somewhere else.Having gone to VSC several years ago with our previous dog (to see Dr. Rich for her allergies), I decided to call them. Not only were they completely sensitive and caring during my call, when we actually arrived, our treatment was top-notch!!!Unfortunately, this wasn't our first experience with euthanasia, but this was by far the "best" experience we've had--if there can be such a thing... They let us know exactly what was going on and let us take as much time as we needed--both before and after. Additionally, I figured that the price was going to be pretty high since this was done as an "emergency", but the charges weren't significantly different from the charges of our usual vet (and that was almost five years ago).I would HIGHLY recommend VSC to anyone with a special need for their pet--at least the ER and the Dermatology depts...

My dog suffered with allergies for several years before I heard about the dermatologist at VSC. She diagnosed the problem, suggested a course of treatment and Simon (my Beagle-boy) has been doing well ever since. Why did it take so long before I was referred? I want everyone to know what a knowledgable and caring staff they have. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone who has a pet with skin problems.

Pure 'negligence'!

My poor cat died a needlessly, horrible, agonizing, death, while under the care and supervision in their Emergency & Critical Care Department, where no 'complete' examination was ever performed on him! He suffered greatly over 4 days while under their 'supposed' care! Until he finally died, gasping for one more breath of air to say alive!

Avoid at all costs!

Just because they offer a 24 hour Emergency department, doesn't mean that you pet will receive any quality of care!

A lawsuit has been filed against them.

Overcharge, Overcharge, OVercharge!!!
The staff I met with was terrible, very cold and considering I was there in an ER situation and no one told me what was going on for 1 hour- when I finally asked-they hadn't even seen my dog!
Could someone have told me that??? The so called specialist I had was an idiot and never did anything to help my dog- I found out more on the internet-by the time I went to another hospital, it was too late. Beware of this place!

When our dog (a child to us) fell awkwardly on his hind leg we were referred to this hospital by our local vet as it was beyond their capability to fix. Once we got there we were not hopeful of saving our dogs leg, because this kind of injury is very common to labradors but very hard to fix. So hard in fact that most vets recommend just amputating the leg.
This wasnt the case with this hospital. They told us it would be a difficult surgery but they would fix our dogs leg and he would heal fine. Not only did they fix it, they treated him wonderfully.
The cost of his surgery and all the follow up visits was inexpensive in our view. We were expecting to pay a lot more especially when you see the clinic. It looks like the Doggie Hilton where pets get pampered on vacation, not like a hospital. So we were very surprised to see the bill was not high.
We would highly recommend this surgery if your pet has something that your local vet cannot fix.

PROS: GREAT STAFF, LOOKS VERY HIGH END WITH THEIR DECOR AND BUILDING
CONS: LOCATION
