My family has been bringing our cars to Bonfe's Mechanical for over 15 years. The service has always been great. They consistently contact you to get price approval to do work. If a time issue comes up with a complicated repair they are careful not to leave you stranded.
They are patient with those of us who don't understand a lot about cars. I was most impressed by Tom's customer service skills one day when he was speaking with an irate customer on the telephone. She was an irate customer from some other repair shop, not Bonfes. I could hear her voice from the telephone carrying across the room. The average person would have reasonably hung up on her. He remained calm, suggested a way they would approach to fixing her car, forthrightly explained why he couldn't tell her the cost of the repair over the phone (sight unseen of the car), and offered that she was welcome to set up an appointment after she did some more "checking". This would give her time to calm down. In my opinion if she was smart she would have made that appointment.

My Wife had the car break down in the middle of downtown. We had to find someplace close to tow it to.We picked Bonfe's Auto. She dealt with them one on one. They were fair and very kind to her. After we got a quote for the work, we called around and it was spot on if not cheaper than other garages around town. The staff was courtious and they even found an unrelated, and dangerous, issue that they promptly brought to my attention. They made sure to get the ok on labor charges before proceeding with work.
