.

I went to Bruno's with my husband today. We've recently moved and the lighting in our new place is outdated, so we went to look at lamps. It??s important to us to try to support local business, and Bruno??s is a local business.

My husband wanted to pick up an order from Guest Room Records, across the street, first. He went ahead while I waited in the car at Bruno's. I'd been driving with the windows down and wanted to brush my hair and put on some lipstick.

Less than 30 seconds later, an ARMED security guard came over and without any kind of provocation at all informed me in a very aggressive way to move my car out of their lot. I told him I was going to go in the store with my husband when he got back. The guard argued with me, being very threatening. He actually said "you're no customer of ours." I said he was being hostile; he said I could just go tell the manager.

My husband was back after a minute or two. I told him what was going on and he said "let's not give them any business. We'll go somewhere else." No kidding. The guard was still screaming profanities at me trying to get me to move the car across the street. I was parked OK, not in a wrong place. He just didn't want us there since my husband went into the record store. Like a person can't shop at two places in one day. We were dressed OK, just normal people. Somehow going to buy a CD made us undesirables.

As I pulled out the troll said "come back here and I'll F*(K YOU UP!" Remember... the guy was wearing a GUN. This threat carried rather more weight than if he hadn't been.

I pulled right back in and informed the manager, who said the record store traffic was hurting their business. He did seem somewhat apologetic and I guess he thought that somehow it justifies threatening your potential customers, scaring them away with armed security guards screaming cuss words in your face and insisting that you aren't going to be their customer.

Customer service starts with the first person who greets you. When your idea of customer service is meeting a potential buyer with an insult and a weapon, that??s the kind of place that NOBODY should go to.
