We had special ordered a sofa and loveseat from Higdon McBride of Paducah, KY in Feb 08 and paid for it in full at that time. In May 08, we were contacted and told that the furniture had come in but it was the wrong color. During that same conversation the sales person informed us that the company just wanted to refund our money and that the leather we had originally order had been discontinued. Three days later we made a special trip to the store to try and resolve the issue. When we arrived we were greeted by the manager. The manager had us pick a different leather. He took our leather sample information came back about 20 mins later and said this leather would be available in Mid July and that he could order it. He then proceeded to say that there would be an additional cost. Immediately my wife was upset. I asked the manager how much money he was talking about, and this is were it got ugly, he told me it was going to cost an additional $2000 dollars over what we had already paid. (The next day I checked at a different store that sells the same products and found out that the second leather we had picked is actually a cheaper leather than the one we had originally ordered.) So to get what they wanted in the first place, which was to just refund our money, they inflated the cost. My wife and I truly believe that the real problem was that the sales person had made a pricing error in the very beginning and this is how they chose to cover that up. If you do purchase anything from this store, I hope you don't have any problems, because the employees, managers, and the owner, will stick together and you will lose. Like the owner had told me during a phone conversation, I am here to make money not lose money. So at no fault of our own, it has been over three months and we still don't have any furniture and now we have to start the whole process over.
