.

I went there a few years ago to buy a new guitar. They told me that the guitar was on backorder from the manufacturer and it would take 2-3 weeks to come in. Then they told me that I had to pay upfront for it, and there might be another charge to get it from the manufacturer. When I told them that their website said it was in stock, they claimed that it had to be a mistake and that they were backordered. I worked it out so that I didn't have to pay upfront and they put the order in for the guitar. I immediately went home, checked GC's site, and saw that they were still showing instock. I called them, verified that they had it, and ordered it within 5 minutes. The next day I went back to GC and told them. They acted shocked. In the big picture, the assistant manager at GC that I dealt with was in it for a commission. He wouldn't get one if I ordered online, so he flat out lied to me. The only positive thing I can say about them is that their prices are good. If you don't mind putting up with hair band wannabe cooler than thou liars to get something a few bucks cheaper, this place is for you. If you want down to Earth, customer oriented, straight forward service, check out Marshall Music. They're a few miles south of GC on Southfield. You'll pay a few bucks more, but they'll definitely take care of you and be totally straight with you.
