West Coast OBGYN is all about making money and do not care about you. They use nurse assistants to answer your questions who cannot provide any answers. We have yet to speak with a real doctor. We're starting to believe that all their doctors do is flip through patient files and just have their assistants relay the diagnosis to patients. I guess it makes good business sense to run as many patients through their doors as possible... too bad patients like us suffer with less than mediocre medical care.

Don't believe the other reviews who give West Coast OBGYN 5 stars!!! Considering our own experiences with them and the other one-star reviews, these are obviously faked reviews planted by their own staff to offset the negative ratings they've received. Do your homework and go elsewhere!

West Coast Ob-Gyn let me down; I trusted them with my life and that of my unborn child. The selling point, so I thought how I was to visit all the doctors in the office in that way one of THEM will be the one to deliver my baby. However, when that faithful night came they had another doctor on call. She didn??t see me but send me home; I had some very bad computations that almost cost me my life and my son. My little boy has suffered the worst of it, he still is not well, and not sure if he will be; I am still hoping and praying that things will change for him. I wish I had never picked them for such an important time in my life they also miss the problem I had before that night. Just be careful if you feel something is not right speak up.

I had my two babies with this group. The first pregnancy was 4 years ago and the practice seemed a bit smaller and less busy. My last baby born in January 09. The practice is much busier, and has branched into cosmetic treatments. Although there are signs for the cosmetic stuff it isn't pushed or even suggested. It is there if you want it. I always felt well taken care of. They didn't hold my hand, I didn't need it. But they took care of me and my babies. No complaints, the nurses are awesome, office is new and professionally staffed.

I have 3 young children that were each delivered by these doctors. I think Dr. Henao is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors around. She is young and up-to-date on all the current and new procedures. I know they have hundreds of patients but she cried after my twins were born and made you feel like I was her only patient. I got excellent care throughout each pregnancy. Now that I'm no longer pregnant, however, I feel like annual exams are pushed aside. I had to wait 4 months for an appointment with Dr. Henao. I think its worth it though...

I was pleased with this practice for the birth of my daughter 3 1/2 years ago. Oh, how times have changed with this pregnancy! You are bombarded with cosmetic surgery advertisements EVERYWHERE - fliers by the sign in sheet, a video about laser hair removal plays in the waiting room, fliers by the scale, fliers in the exam rooms. As women are receiving pelvic exams or in pregnancy seeing their body??s change and bellies expand, they are being accosted with these messages. While, they have assured me that pregnant women are not eligible for these procedures, the seed is planted in their minds when they are most vulnerable. For my first pregnancy, the videos that played in the waiting room were about nutrition and exercise; the fliers that were around the office were focused on raising healthy children. It is clear that this is no longer their focus. Like the previous reviewer, I have had phone calls ignored and questions left unanswered. Ask yourself, do I want to see a cosmetic surgeon for my pelvic exam and prenatal care or do I want to see an Ob-Gyn? I argue that West Coast Ob-Gyn has changed their priorities from medical to cosmetic.

I switched to this practice thinking that with only 4 doctors on staff I would get excellent prenatal care. Boy, was I wrong! My primary doctor is Dr. Goodwin. When I had concerns regarding cramping at 24 weeks, I didn't get a call back for 2 days! I was told to go to triage immediately at that point. They also cancelled an appointment on me and never called to tell me. Then, at 38 weeks, I was told to get "urgent" tests done. Never received a phone call from my doctor (Dr. Goodwin) regarding the results of my tests. As soon as my baby is born, I'm switching to another practice. There is no excuse for the "lack" of care I am receiving. The other person who wrote a review apparently didn't have Dr. Goodwin. I do like Dr. Marcrander though.

This practice is amazing! I am convinced if not for them, my son would not be so healthy, nor I. I am of advanced maternal age, not very healthy, and my baby was via Invitro Fertilization. So I was not exactly an easy case. I not only was older with pre-existing health issues, I developed pre-eclampsia (again), and this time gestational diabetes too. This group took me in, treated me with respect, caring, understanding, and watched me like I was carrying their own child. I could not have been happier with them. Dr. Saffer, what can I say that already isn't said? Amazing? Awesome? The best doctor I have ever encountered (and I used to work in a Critical Care Unit so I've been around a lot of doctors). He is everything a doctor should be. Everything a doctor is trained to be. Everything a doctor used to be. He is genuine, he really TALKS TO YOU, not at you, he gives his honest opinion, he never hesitated to put me in the hospital for observation, I never felt so comfortable.
Dr. Marcrander delivered me. I have a video of our birth and I play it over and over. She had the most reassuring words for me during my C-Section. She made me feel comfortable and I was terrified, she let me know immediately everything was okay, she even said my baby was cute and though I know she probably says that to everyone, it still felt really nice to hear.
I am saddened that I no longer live in California. Though, if I do IVF again, I think I will stay in temporary housing in San Diego just to get the care of these Dr.'s.

PROS: Brilliant, loving, caring, genuine
CONS: They aren't in Arizona :(
