Our Lady of Peace church is such a beautiful and endearing place of worship. The nuns and priest are both friendly and well educated and they practice what they preach. We recently had my fathers funeral service their and I can say a miserable event in anyones life was made better with all their pastors. I still remember as a innocent child going to Our Lady of Peace Grammar school 1966-1972 and interacting the Franciscan brother who I hear lived to be 95. He was the best religious role model that any child could have he gracefully taught right from wrong and encouraged me to play my piano and become a doctor. I now do both well. The surrounding neighborhood has inflated in price from the 60's its now mainly upper middle class. All the Best.

What a beautiful church! Built in traditional style, the inside a total look of a Catholic church the way it should be (with statues and stained glass windows -- not a barn-like structure with few or no religious symbols/reminders). This is the only parish in Brooklyn which offers the Traditional Mass on Sunday. This is a treasure that few people realize or understand, unfortunately. I wish I lived closer so that I could attend the way I used to when living in Midwood. The parish and the Trad. Mass-goers will miss Fr. Roderick who has been a good friend over the years. He and our beloved Msgr. Asip were a wonderful pair of exceptional, caring priests.
