This place has the worst service in Teaneck. And I dont just mean bagel shops. Their food is not worth putting up with their employees. Youd get just as good of a bagel if not better, with much more cream cheese and much less hassle,

I had the "misfortune" of working near Three Star Bagels for some time. I loved getting deli sandwiches made on their fresh bagels, their incredible, chocolate-y brownies, fresh brewed coffee, and delicious hot chocolate. I blame them for some of my weight gain.

This is probably the best deli in the area, for selection and food quality. There are a few places to sit, but you would probably want to take out when its busy in the A.M. The egg sandwiches come hot off the grill in the morning rush hours.

Just one little irritant: They have a stern rule about lining up to the right, and though there is a sign, it's easy to miss if you are a newcomer or frequent only occasionally. However, the egg sandwich station is further back and to the left, and one would tend to think they could go straight up there, especially if it looks like there's a few folks standing around up there. But no, THOSE folks have already been in the line to the right and ordered, they are waiting to pick up. The thing that gets me is, even when its not so crowded, and maybe its just to break up the monotonous routine of the day, but if you go up to the egg sandwich counter instead of stand on the right ( even if only one person is on the right AND being served!) as I did once or twice absent mindedly, the staff dude(s) seem to make it a point to ignore you standing right in their face, and go over to the right until you recognize that you have breached equitte and corrected yourself.

A fellow patron hipped me to this, and I found it a bit silly that such effort was dispensed to not make eye contact and wait until I might speak up about what looks like blatant discourtesy. Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode. Believe me, I am no "Niles Crane" (maybe I am if I devoted this review to this!) but as expected, a subsequent occasion, I was in this line, and watched Miss blonde and leggy make the same gaffe. She is gently told there is a line, but she is by no means treated as though she's invisible - in fact, she got a pass. I try not to take it personal - my legs are too hairy to show off anyway. What the hey, I still get my eggs there every now and then. Compared to the karma in the big city across the Hudson, this is paradise.

Pros: Hot, fresh food

Cons: Curbside parking stinks, but that's Teaneck
