Borderland Farm Inc. now known as Quiet Creek Stable LLC, is a charming, well staffed and run lesson/boarding barn nestled at the foot of the mountains. They have over 200 acres of beautiful forests and fields, perfect for the trail rider. They hold a few hunter paces a year which many seem to enjoy and return to time after time. Boarders enjoy the indoor and outdoor arenas, x-country course and grass dressage arena. The care is excellent and the "barn family" is very warm and loving. The horses are all very fat and happy living a very free, very natural and healthy life. The riding instructors are patient and knowledgeable, having only the students goals, safety and comfort in mind. The barn itself is historic and old, in need of a renovation but the horses care and friendly people make up for the lack of "fanciness". All in all Quiet Creek is a wonderful place to be.

This Farm is old but the horses have such a wonderful "most natural life" They are led every day out into an area where the horses take off on their own amongst tons and tons of acres. It is almost like they are in the wild for the night. Cross and drink from streams graze in tons of different areas. it's.. nice..Watch out for the spurs the horses bring them in on their mane and tails fun fun to get it out...The staff is nice mostly run by older teenage kids during the summer. Everyone is down to earth and very nice. There is a small indoor ring and out door dressage ring and tons of riding trails. You can always find someone to go riding with. You may have to stay on top of what is being done with your horses if there is any special requirements...If you are coming every day to check on your horses it is fine, leaving them for weeks at a time...if your picky, this is not the place..some things may go unnoticed. Summers.. using the indoor ring is a pain as there is camp that fills most of the AM. It is a very old barn, but the horses don't care. The standing stalls bother me, but that is not where I put my horses nor would I ever. If your horse is not the alpha be prepared for some bites, kicks etc.. there is allot of horses that go out at one time. Overall it's a fine barn nothing fancy, but horses live a pretty natural life. Nice boarders and staff to make you feel welcome.

This place has lots of grass for the horses, but is in need of some desperate repair. It is quite rundown. Staff is okay and horses seem to be adequately cared for.

Nice, older farm. People are friendly but the facility is in need of some repair. Horses seem all well cared for, and while it's a modest farm, everyone is very nice and low key. They also traditionally do hunter paces which are nice for the area.
