DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This place is terrible. Jim and Jerry Gilbert, certified con-artists with no heart. I know that the owner has a son at VMI, and I myself am a VMI alum. I know all about integrity and these guys who represent the place have none. Because of these guys I am going to do my best to prevent others from being scammed at this place.
I bought a 2008 Honda Civic Si from this place in early 2009. These guys were allegedly a family friend's friend, and so I let my guard down. These heathens way overcharged me, and because I was a young guy, new to the car thing they took advantage of that, and a bit passive. They promised that they would take care of me and give me a good deal yet after I got the car it had so many problems. It had been wrecked, among other flaws a car barely a year old should have, which he swore wouldn't have. One of the guys is a former cop (embarrassing). The radio crapped out. They made promises to me that weren't kept, like giving me the correct key to the car, which was written in the contract. Instead they gave me a key that has no trunk release and I had my grandfather pick it up while I was at VMI to find out later that it wasn't the correct one. My grandfather didn't know any better, otherwise he would have made them get me the correct one. I wish I had the resources to destroy these guys, but I am left to only do what I can for free. Despite verbal agreements being as binding a contract as a written one, the problem is that they are hard to prove. Unfortunately my dad had died 6 months later who was helping resolve this ordeal to get what was rightfully mine and what these guys had promised. So the little guy lost in this battle big time, and these scumbags come out on top unscathed. If anyone needs more information on the situation feel free to contact me. I want to help the common person from these evil people.

Absolutely one of the best places to work with in the industry. Tom is my service writer and he has a great sense of humor. I appreciate that. Everyone there has been open and honest about the cars that I have had serviced. Gerald has been a tremendous help when we needed to sell our vehicles and buy a new one. I always feel like I have been treated by people who respect the "Golden Rule." Their commitment to the community is unsurpassed. I recommend them to anyone. You will not be disappointed in any of their many services.

My first experience with American Pride was with my 83yr old Dad's car. He had taken his Olds to a dealer to resolve some issues with his car not starting, not kicking into passing gear and a few other things. Was sold a starter he did not need and still had the problem and they (THE DEALER) had no answers. I took it to American Pride and 30 minutes later I got a call and the tech told me the problem. HE NAILED IT! Coolant leaking on 3 computer sensors. If you want the cheapest deal in town. American Pride is probably not for you. You will want the discount mechanic that is desperate and will nickel & dime you to death. The team at American Pride will not gouge your wallet and I come away feeling like I got good service for the price. If you value your mechanic getting it right and not having to come back to "re-fix" the same problem AT YOUR EXPENSE then you will love the people at American Pride. They will shoot straight with you and give you the heads up on needed service so you can prepare for your next maintenance need like brakes, tires etc. Did an alignment for me back in the Summer after I installed 4 new tires. Gave me heads up on rear brakes by the end of the year. Yep. Brakes started squeaking in Dec to let me know its time. Had the money saved up, got my brakes done today. Last week they quoted me $170 for the job. Finished today@ $141.00

Both my husband and I have taken our cars to American Pride Automotive and have been totally pleased with both service and the way in which business is conducted. On my recent visit, Kevin and Rick provided outstanding customer service. They were friendly, easy to do business with, quick, and efficient. Unlike some other auto service providers, with American Pride, we never have to worry about being charged unfairly. Charlie Marcotte has done an outstanding job of building a business based on leading edge practices while providing reliable, affordable services that can be trusted.

Have used American Pride several times over the past few years. Always friendly. Never seem to "find" something "wrong" with the car that they need to fix in addition to what I brought it in for, although they will let me know if a maintenance issue will be coming up in the future. Been given lots of discounts without asking. I appreciate the honesty and care they have shown.

When I'd left my moon roof open for a rainy day, I sponged it best I could, then called them for advice; they vacuumed the rug twice and offered to let it sit inside overnight, and even moved it out of their own way the next morning, for minimal charge. They also put anti-mold stuff in the vent system. Unfortunately, water had collected in the roof because of plugged drains, and later pooled under the floor - otherwise, they might have helped me save the rug. I appreciated them giving it a shot. I've been happy with my service there overall, as they don't look for things that don't need fixing.

So helpful. I first came to them for a patch in my tire that no one else was able to do anything about. After they were done it held for 2 months until I was able to buy new tires. They had a seating area with blocks for my son to play with and were very patient with him. Kevin and Aaron let me know what was wrong and talked over all of my options with me before doing anything. They even gave me an itemized list of my services and the prices + labor for everything that was done.
