Hertz Rent A Car

one of the worst Hertz location in the Metro Washington area. At any given time there is scarcely any road worthy cars to select from. My last rental there was a car with keys that could not open the doors. Returning that car for an exchange proved a nightmare, because the location had closed and I had to travel to the National Airport location to make the exchange. Despite that problem, Hertz Silver Spring location would not agree to a 1 hour flexibility window for the return of the car, although it took me more than an hour to get to the airport to return the lemon for a working rental car. And one other thing, that office closes at 6 p.m and has a real draconian key drop-off policy, so that if you get there 1 minute after they close and drop off your car, they would still charge you for an extra day rental.

I am a frequent Hertz renter and I would not recommend renting from the Silver Spring location.
