The Spot

What a find. The food was terrific, the ambiance so friendly, the service great. It was BYOB which was even better. The flair is creole. There were so many good things to choose from the menu, I had a hard time deciding. I had the shrimp creole and my friend had the etouffe. Both were fantastic. I like the place so much i cam back for breakfast 2 weeks later. I have eaten breakfast at The Spot twice now.

I went into the Spot for the first time in a long time this Sunday and had breakfast. The food was delicious -- I had the French Toast which was the best I have ever tasted! I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a great Jazz Trio playing for the 'Brunch'. This group was great, they played wonderful music and were very entertaining. I particularly appreciated that they played at a volume which enabled my friend and I to carry on a regular conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and the entertainment at the Spot and plan on going back very soon. I know that when relatives come to visit, this will be the place to go for Sunday Brunch!

There is no place like the Spot, dine while listening to great jazz, who has that in Pasadena? The food is greatr, so great I booked a party for my husbands birthday, everything went off great! I recommend the Spot to those who love great dining in a casual setting, with great musicians.

Valentine's day can be tricky for us busy lady types that always want to do something special for their guy; but not for me this year because I let "The Spot" cheerfully deliver to my home a four course gourmet dinner for two. The meal arrived timely, fully cooked, and with easy to follow warming and assembly instructions. Terrific! Now, I have a little extra time for a nap.The dinner was delicious and beautiful. And the heart shaped chocolate mousse cake with fresh raspberries, raspberry puree, and creme anglaise was divine. This is a luxury that should be experienced.

I just went to the spot b/c I read the review off the internet and loved it! I ate the back de bayou(breakfast) - delish, delou, and delight. The gravy is soo good I almost cried. The eggs were cooked perfectly. My mom decided on lunch (it was almost noon) and she had the shrimp po boy sandwich, and my sis had the ahi salad. All was fantastic. I can't believe I have driven by this spot a million times on my way home up Lincoln Ave. So the next time, you altadenians drive by - think to stop in and eat. It is really good.

For all you altadenaians, check out the spot. I was there for breakfast today and had the french bread pudding toast - YUMMY!! My friend had a breakfast burrito, and the waitress shared how the regulars will smother the burrito with the homemade cajun gravy. What a recommendation!!. I ate so much all I could do was sit and watch football all day. I told the wife to call the spot and complain for serving such good food. I saw the table next to me order a Po Boy sandwich. That sandwich looked killer and now I know what I will order next time. The restaurant is casual, low key and the kids in the kitchen were having fun. Great ambiance. I guess the owners come from some well known catering company and where packing out a party they were catering for the night. The spot is a great discovery. They have gourmet to go and full service catering, not to mention the restaurant. Altadena is coming up, and the Spot is a must for you all to check out. Support this establishment.
