I placed an order via Wesley Berry Flowers who routes orders to local florists around the country. If the florist accepts the job, they fulfill the order. Cheryl Bakin, the owner of Parkway Florists, was routed my order. Simply put: Unlucky me. Cheryl called to verify the address in the morning. I told her the order would need to be delivered before 4 as our office closes at 4. No problem. When I called back around 2:30 to simply check the order...BIG MISTAKE. Cheryl was downright rude, and extremely combative when I called to check on the order. Whether I was a routed to Parkway Florists vis-a-vis another company, Cheryl and Parkway Florist were now accountable for delivering a service and product representative of THEM. The service was awful and the arrangement was sub-par. I DO NOT recommend using Parkway Florists. It was a horrendous interaction. Simply terrible. It was the worst customer service experience I have EVER encountered.

I am so impressed with Parkway Florist & will recommend them to everyone in the Pgh area. Cheryl listened to my daughter's requests for her wedding flowers, worked within our budget & created a beautiful ambience at both the church & reception. The flowers were just spectacular, reminiscent of "Granny's flower garden". Thank you ,Cheryl for being so thoughtful to even add the Sweet Peas to the wedding bouquet. You were a calming influence at the church & reception hall. Job well done!

The owner Cheryl is completely uncooperative and tries to talk you out of anything you want. She will not respond if you send her detailed e-mails--even when it's your ONLY form of communication. She never sends out detailed invoices when changes are made. And she is incredibly rude. All I wanted for my reception centerpieces were simple bud vases with two flowers in my colors and some light filler--and she said I wouldn't like it. Then she asked me what my PROBLEM was! And then proceeded to tell me that money seemed to be my problem and asked me what it was I wanted to do. I TOLD her what I wanted and she refused to do it. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!

Puzzled?? We work with many, many brides and events over the course of a year. We are familiar with the sizes of banquet tables, and venues thru-out the city. We discuss all flowers and possibilites with each bride in person, and by phone. Our opinions offered are based upon many years of experience in the event business. Often, we are asked to "scale down" centerpieces to things such as a budvase with just 2 flowers in it in an attempt to save money....at the end. We generally advise against it. The flower budvase will look lost in the middle of a large round table. There are other alternatives that give a "larger" appearance & are cost effective.We think of wedding flowers as a very personal thing. We do not allow anyone to change your order, or add/delete on your order unless you have given your permission. That's why we prefer personal communication with you, our bride. We are open late every evening. We do return all phone calls promptly. We have a toll-free #.. A detailed invoice is furnished,once all details are finalized. This is usually done about 2 weeks to 10 days prior to a wedding or event.
