I have gone to Truffles for years...even when they were in Canton and stayed as a customer in Farmington (New owners) because I felt is important to patronize our mom and pop stores but after several incidences of uncourteous and downright rude staff- I am calling it quits. The cherry on the situation was ordering a chocolate cream pie for Thanksgiving. Upon arriving...they had a coconut creme by mistake. Rather than being apologetic...they were extremely rude and nasty. After giving me tons of attitude... they finally pulled one out of the case and said.."well..here...we made a mistake." Gee....thanks! (after being insistant and flip that the 16 year old taking the order couldn't be wrong). Then came the big surprise..a $18 pie looked like something the Keebler elf whipped up! A standard chocolate pie crust (no exaggeration) with pudding and a smidge of decorative whipped piping. $18??? I could have made it for $5 and it wasn't even good! I'm sooo done...I can do so much better..and so can you!

I worked for the company very breifly. They do not carry safe/sanitary practices. They have a rodent problem that is not uncommon with the food industry, however their baking items are not ALL air tight...therefore there is a potential for cross contamination from the rodents. I had found droppings in a 50lb bag of mix and they did not throw the bag out, but simply scooped the top off. Also a mouse had somehow gotten onto the baking sheet and got stuck under the muffin tray, as they prep the muffins the night before to bake off in the a.m., when pulling the tray out of the oven, i noticed the mouse had gone in the oven with the muffins. The owner did not throw the muffins out, but put them out for sale. Needless to say, i never returned after that day. Do not purchase food from there unless you prefer unsanitary food.

I just went to Truffles for the first time today and I'm kicking myself for not going sooner! When I first walked in I was politely greeted by the girl behind the counter/large display case and she said she would take my order as soon as I was ready. Their display case is great....you can see everything really clearly and the food looks delicious! They have hot meals you can pick up on a daily basis, specials and both hot and cold meals. Their tuna melt is delicious and their baked goods...a little slice of heaven! I've tried their Whoopie Pies (which by the way are huge), the peanut butter bars - my favorite! and the blueberry cream cheese lemon bars which were also delicious! Oh and I almost forgot: When I opened up my lunch I was pleasantly surprised to see not only a large portion, but also macaroni salad and a slice of cake - which was great! I've heard that they offer gluten free products here too!

Pros: Everything is amazing!

Cons: a bit small, but there is adequate seating outside.

The person taking my order was so rude and snotty. She acted like it was a huge burden and that I was wasting her time. My food was not very good, dry cup cakes, m ham sandwich was super fatty so it was impossible to eat. The store is so tiny there is not room to wait for your order with out getting stepped on. But the worst part was how incredibly rude the people who work there are. Totally not worth it
