The website is misleading since the lodge is not situated on the River Androscoggin at all.
There are no nearby food or provisions stores, nor restaurants.
There is no back porch to relax on, only a front porch to drink beer with the other locals who come to park there admist the trash and thrown out stoves.
What a joke.

Once again I am finding a review written by this eye Doctor who is simply upset because I charged him a cancellation fee after he walked out, we turned business away for his reserved stay - Our cancellation policy is clear and posted. Being from GA and because "they" were not happy to be here, we modified the cancellation policy for him. As can be seen on the map, we "are" along the rivers course, but a view the river is not possible as we are in the Great North Woods of NH = Trees lots of them, but within a short distance. We do not advertise a deck that has direct access to the rooms as he indicated when he arrived. The"locals" that he refers to was my daughter and her soon to be who came up for the day to assist in the kitchen project. I just opened a beer after a long hot day, this is my home (B&B 2nd). The kitchen was completely gutted and redone to meet commercial kitchen standards - Health requirment. Yes, debris was stacked along side the lodge's side driveway awaiting removal to be recycled and the landfill - This was a progress project for the lodge. I received no latitude for exceptional service over several weeks prior to his arrival, just simply walked out!
