Won't disappoint!

by Stephanie C. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,275

I've eaten at Melt three times in the last year and have always had a fantastic experience. The food is incredible (especially enjoyed the Strip Steak) and the cocktails are strong and tasty. Attentive staff and cool decor as well.

Excellent Food and Friendly service

by Mei Lee Sung

This place have these awsome pork sliders. They are
so good that I ordered a second round . These little
pork creations are addicting, you can't seem to get
enough. The pork is really tender and soft, it just breaks
up in your mouth (not much effort to chew). I am not
familiar with the sauce, but it is very delicious. I find
myself licking my fingers to get every bit of it. What is
the secret ? You guys need to package this and mass
market it. This is one item on the menu that I would
sugguest everyone to order. You will not be dissappointed.

Pros: The Best Pork Sliders in Brooklyn

Cons: Abit Pricey

DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE

by Bibeen

WE WERE THERE ON TUESDAY NIGHT FOR DINNER
AND DRINKS. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. WE
WERE ABIT CONFUSED ON HOW THE MENU IS SET UP (SMALL, MEDIUM, AND BIG DISHES). TWO OF US HAD THE STEAK AND IT WAS THY BEST JUICY PREPARED PIECES OF MEAT WE EVER HAD. IT WAS JUST VERY TENDER AND FILL WITH FLAVOR ESPECIALLY THE SAUCE. ITS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
MY OTHER TWO FRIENDS HAD THE MUSSELS AND
THEY LOVED EVERYONE OF THEM. THEY WERE FRESH AND NOT FISHY. AND AGAIN ITS THE SAUCE THAT PULLED IT ALL TOGETHER. ITS OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE CHEF REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF.
WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE STEAK AND THE MUSSELS IN THIS PLACE.

Pros: DELICIOUS FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE

Cons: PORTIONS A TAD SMALL

Where can I get a burger?

This place was special. food is excellent. we walked around trying to find the best burger spot in the slope. we passed this really nice lady walking her dog that told us to try out melt. she was right.... the soup was awesome, the chef gave a complimentary taste sample, and the burgers were incredible.
we sat outside in our own little corner, and celebrated 3 years of love and toasted over an amazing burger.

Pros: amazing burger

DID NOT LIVE UP TO BILLING

THE STAFF GAVE THIS PLACE A BAD RATING FOR ME. THE MEAL THAT WAS PICKED OUT WAS BAD THEY EVEN WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR A MEAL THAT WAS SENT BACK BECAUSE IT WAS SO BAD BUT I WAS OPEN TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE AND WAS BILLED FOR TWO MEALS THE ONE I ATE AND THE ONE I SENT BACK. I'M GOING BACK NEXT WEEK (LOL) OK SO I'M NEVER GOING BACK.

Pros: THE LOOK

Cons: THE FOOD THE STAFF

Friendly Servers and Excellent Food

by missbkgenno

Melt is the best restaurant in North slope, I went in plenty of times in the last month and Alex is long gone. Employees come and go in this industry and with a bad attitude of course He would not last as the manager. The servers yesturday were very friendly. The food at melt is always fresh and delicious-especially the daily specials. Every dish that comes out of that kitchen is absolutely worth every dime. The owner is great. She works hard to make melt work. The St. Germain cocktail is smooth. There is nowhere else in the slope that can compete with melt. Its been my favorite and will continue to be my favorite today, tomorrow and on and on.

Pros: Delicious Daily Specials

Melt is a fantastic value

by ktobiassen

All-caps "disappointing mother" below misses the point: one of the many nice things about Melt is that it really is more of an 'adult' place. This is a "pro" for many people!

The food is excellent. On Tuesdays, they have a tasting menu that is an exceptional value. I definitely recommend it, although on some Tuesdays you will get a better meal than others. I guess the experimentation is how they come up with what works. Everything I've sampled on the regular menu is great.

The decor is slick and mod, but the place still feels friendly and cozy. Service is friendly and competent.

Pros: delicious and creative cuisine

MELTs in your mouth

by FrenchCnnctn

The food at Melt is really good. I enjoyed the beef brisket which was probably the best I've ever had it. My friend and I enjoyed specialty drinks from the menu - one was a American Geisha which was Ty Ku, strawberry vodka and rose water. It was absolutely delicious.

The service was excellent and the restaurant itself is a pleasure to be in. Highly recommended.

Pros: Food and drinks

Cons: none

A DISAPPOINTING MOTHER

by TuGalSexy

MY HUSBAND TOOK ME AND OUR CHILD HERE FOR DINNER, THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT KIDS
FRIENDLY. I COULDN 'T FIND ANYTHING ON THE MENU THAT MY NINE YEAR OLD WOULD LIKE TO
HAVE FOR DINNER. THERE IS NO KIDS MENU TO OFFER TO FAMILIES THAT WISH TO BRING THEIR
YOUNG CHILDREN WITH THEM FOR DINNER, WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT THIS WAS.
PARK SLOPE IS A NEIGBORHOOD WITH MANY YOUNG CHILDREN , FOR A RESTAURANT TO BE
SUCCESSFUL HERE ,YOU WILL HAVE TO START CARTERING TO FAMILIES WITH KIDS AS WELL.
HOPEFULLY THE MANAGEMENT OR OWNER(S) WILL TAKE THIS ADVISE AND ADD ON A KIDS
MENU TO THE ESTABLISTMENT.

Pros: Excellent service

Cons: NOT AT ALL KIDS FRIENDLY !!!

Coolest Fancy Food Joint

by BuckHazard

My first experience at Melt was to try the $25 Tuesday tasting menu. I couldn't have been more pleased with the variety of selection and the refined use of spices and natural flavorings. Most particularly, the soup starter. Clearly, the chef understands that the use of salt is to bring out the flavor of the ingredients and not be a flavor itself. The soups are creamy and sensual. The plates began as appetizer size portions with the last at dinner plate proportion. The deserts are designed to satisfy at the end of the meal while not be too sweet. Again, hail to the chef for understanding the inherent sweetness in foods without relying soley on sugar.

A favorite of many who sit to eat and chat at the bar is the Grilled Kobe Burger. Not only is it a huge chunk of meat replete with a host of condiments, it is served with a huge bowl of delicious crispy string style french fries. The bar drink specials are delightful, creative and far from the standard fair. Recently, I have sat for brunch at Melt and am in love with the Cajun Crab Benedict and Baked Eggs in an Eggplant, Artichoke Ragu.

Considering the number of selections on the main menu and that all is cooked to order and to taste, it is a wonder that the wait staff are as good and as adorable as they are.

Best Brunch for your buck!

by kalex106

Ended up at Melt for brunch pretty randomly one afternoon and it's became an instant favorite. We had the crabcake benedict and the kobe beef burger, and a pineapple infused vodka drink that was incredible. The meal was excellent, the waitress very sweet and the prices very affordable and reasonable. Service was also rather quick. The only thing I wish is that it were a little bigger...otherwise EXCELLENT!

Pros: Food, Price, Service

Cons: Size

Yummy and friendly!

by ChristiTdot

I am a regular here for brunch and dinner. The service is always spectacular and the food delicious! The pricing is amazing too...well worth it. The only time I had a problem was when a family next to us couldn't control their screaming child. This place is not built for children...I don't understand why anyone would bring them...especially for dinner! No offence, but there are plenty of other places in Park Slope for the kiddies! So wasn't I thrilled when I saw them open for lunch the other day. (wed-fridays) A friend and I were the only two people in there. Apparently nobody else has figured it out yet, because brunches are always a full house. I had the swedish meatballs which were divine. My friend had the salmon which was also great! Try it!

Pros: Service, food and cocktails!!

Cons: Don't bring kids here!

Fantastic food, great presentation, wonderful staff

by vikinnyc

Dinner at Melt left me 100% satisfied and wanting more. Am already making reservations for other friends and family. Service was spectacular (I have to admit though that the female waiters were far friendlier than the male ones). The menu is inventive the presentation of the food is beautiful. You almost do not want to bite into it. It was sooo good I actually wanted to lick the plate (if that wouldn't look so weird). The cocktails are innovative and delish. Don't pass up on dessert...

Pros: Perfect from start to finish

Cons: None

Very Nice Decor and Friendly Service

by yxesgal

We went to Melt for drinks. The place has nice decor and has up beat music. The drinks are very reasonable and its not water down like some places. We had the Kobe burger special. It was really tasty
We can not say the same about the fries. They were hard and salty. Our bartender was very funny and talkative.
Overall, it was pretty good ,and its a nice little place to hangout on a Thursday night.

Pros: NICE DECOR AND A GREAT BARTENDER

Cons: EASE UP ON THE SALT GUYS !!!

This restaurant is among my favorite brunch spots in Brooklyn. I love how they switch up the menu. But the food and service is always great. It's a little small wish it were bigger would mke it easier to navitagiate to the potty. It's a very diverse crowd and the price is reasonable. This is one on the few restaurants I go to and eat everything on my plate. Try it!!

WE WENT OVER TO MELT LAST THURSDAY BECAUSE A COUPLE OF FRIENDS WANTED TO TRIED
THIS PLACE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY SERVED A REALLY GREAT TASTING STEAK. THE STEAKS
WE ORDERED WERE NOT COOKED TO OUR SATISFACTION. ONE WAS OVER COOKED, SUPPOSE
TO BE MEDIUM, IT WAS VERY CHEWYYYY. THE SECOND ONE WAS FATTY AND BLOODY, BAD COMBINATION , ALSO SUPPOSE TO BE MEDIUM AS WELL. OUR ORDER OF FRIES WERE VERY SALTY. SORRY, BUT WE WILL HAVE TO CHALK THIS EXPERIENCE UP AS BELOW OUR EXPECTATION. WE NEED TO GIVE ALOT OF CREDIT TO OUR SERVER, SHE WAS REALLY GREAT.

Pros: REALLY GREAT SERVICE

Cons: FOOD- OVER RATED

I went there over the summer. I took a girl on a date that I was meeting for the first time. We got there just before dinner was being served. The food was great. My date literally cleaned her plate, even before me! What was most impressive, was that I had left my umbrella there after we left. Our waiter ran all the way up the street to give it back to me. Overall nice experience

Pros: Main course and service

Cons: Dessert wasnt the greatest

Delicious!

by julieebelle

My husband and I were finally able to get a babysitter so that we could finally have a date night this month. We decided to try Melt for the first time, which was not an easy decision to make for fear of wasting our only night out together this month on a bad dining experience. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were able to make reservations, so it was not a problem. We were so surprised at how shockingly good the entire experience was! First off, the ambience was fantastic; dark, with tiny candles on every table setting a very intimate and romantic mood for my husband and I. It felt as though we were back in London at some fab lounge! We were greeted at the door by a woman who also happened to be serving us that evening. She was friendly and hospitable, not to mention very knowledgeable about the menu items and specials. We ordered our drinks first while looking over the fabulous menu. I had a dirty vodka martini which was the best martini I have had in years! Then the appetizers- I would suggest the wild rice springrolls, they were divine, I wanted to lick the plate. My husband had the tuna tartar-delicious! For dinner, I had the sesame encrusted tuna special, my husband had the Kobe burger. Both meals were so full of wonderfully blended flavors, sauces that just melted in your mouth, they were wonderful! We both cleaned our plates! Unfortunately, we didn't try any of the desserts although they looked scrumptious. We did however allow our food to settle while we drank a few more cocktails- I honestly couldn't get enough of those martinis! Our waitress and busboy were both really great. We had quick service which was not overbearing. Our glasses were never completely empty and our table was never left messy. To sum it all up, the food was delectable and beautifully presented, the cocktails were heavenly and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, it's not a place I could dine with my 11 month old daughter. But I would definately eat there again!

Pros: Service, Ambience, Food and Cocktails

Cons: None

My friends and I went shopping on Christmas eve in order to get the last gifts in. We were looking forward to relaxing over a nice dinner and cocktails. We walked over to MELT but to our surprise, the restaurant was closed!?! Settled for eating at Miriam's, the restaurant around the block. Very disappointed that I did not get the Asian Pear cocktail that I had been craving for. Who closes on Christmas eve? I understand Christmas day but then they are closed on the 26th as well? HUH?!?

Pros: USUALLY A RELAXING DINING EXPERIENCE

Cons: NOT OPEN ON AND AROUND HOLIDAYS?!?

WE WENT TO MELT RESTAURANT ON WEDNESDAY FOR THEIR LOBSTER SPECIAL AND WERE WE
DISAPPOINTED . OUR LOBSTERS DIDN'T HAVE HARDLY ANY MEAT IN THEM, WHERE IS THE MEAT?
IS THIS WHY THE LOBSTERS ARE ON SPECIAL? ON THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THIS WAS THE PERSONAL
SERVICE FROM OUR WAITRESS. SHE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND CONVERSATIONAL, AND NOT TO
MENTION HUMOROUS.
JUST A FEW WORDS OF WISDOM, " BEWARE OF THE LOBSTER SPECIAL, IT MIGHT CLAW YOU IN THE WALLET."

Pros: SERVICE - ABOVE AND BEYOND EXPECTATION - EXCELLENT

Cons: FOOD- OVER RATED FOR VALUE - OKAY

Attentive Staff and Delicious Food

by wilsonw002

A few weeks ago, I was celebrating a "major" birthday. In order to lift my spirits, my friends took me to celebrate my birthday at Melt Restaurant. We walked in and although the restaurant was partially full, the restaurant was able to accomodate our large group. Despite my initial feelings about this occasion, I ended up having a wonderful time. Everyone was happy with the individualized service and the food that they ordered. The staff was very patient and attentive to our requests. At my friend's request, the staff brought out a large dish of ice cream with fresh raspberries, festively decorated with sparklers. The waitresses sang "Happy Birthday" and one of the managers even sent over a complimentary cocktail to celebrate the occasion. To top it off, he personally came over to wish me a happy birthday. What a nice gesture. We stayed pretty late drinking, laughing and partying, and at the end of the evening, I realized that this birthday was a turning point to enjoying new and exciting experiences in the the years to come. Thank you for making this day a memorable one.

Pros: Individualized service, Attentive staff

Cons: More upbeat music

EXCELLENT PRICE FOR LOBSTER $14.80 WOW.

by didi_io

This place have the best price for a one pound lobster. It is fresh and meaty, must try it. We were abit
disappointed because they took the grilled octopus off the menu. It was really tasty.
This restaurant does tried to keep a balance on having great food and good service. Our server was
charming and professional with great recommendations, yet not obtrusive. She actually seem to care
about our dinning experience. We had a wonderful time, great food and great service. We are looking forward to our next visit ( Tuesdays, 5 courses tasting ).

Pros: Lobster night and Five courses tasting

Cons: Street parking and Dim lights

wonderful intimate place with great food and service

by susannebbad

tried it for the first time on a Friday. It was busy, the atmosphere is so low key (Danish modern) and the music so perfect for an intimate place. We were served right away, wonderful attentive, friendly wait staff. The goat appetiser was excellent - a meal in itself. Very tasty and flavorful. I had the shrimp and scallops which was done to perfection. The wine list is extensive and good. My friends had the sea bass - also heavenly. The kitchen is small and the chef very creative with sauce and flavors. We had the kiwi sorbet and the lime sorbet, refreshing and oh so tasty. I love this place. Great service, nice manager, excellent food, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff, relaxing dining atmosphere and music. I will be coming back for more!

Great specials, great experience!

by tmk4477

We had a wonderful, laid-back experience at Melt on Friday. The decor is fun, the music was good and the $5 lychee martinis were out of this world. The small dining room was a bit hot, but when we mentioned it to the hostess they immediately had a very 'low-key' manager speak to us and he brought out a fan for the dining room so they wouldn't have to close the sliding doors to start the air conditioning. The calamari was so good, we didn't put any sauce on it. I had a lobster special that was surprisingly sweet and was shelled nicely so I didn't have to be embarrassed being in such close quarters with the next table. Overall, the timing of service was perfect and the ingredients were of highest quality for a modest price..highly recommended indeed!

Pros: prompt service, excellent ingredients, great specials

Cons: should try some more diverse, interesting menu items

Good food and good price!!

by Jacuna

We walked by and saw this very chic decor with a great menu and prices. Went in and had a great meal! A spinach and arugula salad with orange vinaigrette and dried cranberries on feta cream. Then I had the Kobe beef burger, juicy and perfectly cooked, with fries, and my friend had a crusted salmon with shrimp on mashed potatoes w/ a light cream sauce....all very nicely presented and enough food! The wine list was also impressive with wines from all over the globe at a reasonable price. The service was good but a little slow. Will definitely recommend this place to all and make it back before I leave. Maybe even go check out the 5-course meal for $20 on Tuesday, plus get the wine paring for another $20.

Pros: Food, drinks, nice service

Cons: Serivice a little slow

Fresh, Awesome Food

by nyack

We had the lobster special, it was meaty and well worth the price (maybe abit
under priced). We highly recommend the scallops and shrimp dish. It was amazing the
way it was prepared. The shrimp were not over cooked, still juicy and not chewy and the
scallops were delicious, tender and has a sweetness to them. The waitress recommended
a Mai Tai, we were surprised, did not know they still make them. It was very well done, enough liquor
to give you a little buzz. Everything was very good. We had a very pleasant experience that evening.

Pros: Great Seafood dishes and Terrific cocktails

Cons: A tad softer on the music.

KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF, IMPRESSIVE WINE LIST, AND TERRIFIC FOOD.

by zatowski

WE BEEN TO MELT A FEW TIMES AND DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO WRITE ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCES
UNTIL NOW. THE RESTAURANT HAS A MODERN , UPSCALE AND SOPHISTICATED LOOK TO IT. THE DECOR DOES NOT SEEM TO FIT THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT IS MORE OF A MANHATTAN KIND OF FEEL INSIDE. THE WINE LIST IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE. THERE ARE SOME
FABULOUS DISHES ON THE MENU AS WELL. IF YOU LIKE SEAFOOD, YOU MUST TRIED THE SALMON
IT IS FRESH, TASTY AND NICELY PREPARED. IF YOU ARE ONE WHO LOVE A NICE BIG STEAK , YOU
MUST ORDER THE JUICY RIB STEAK. IT IS BIG. THIS PLACE HAS DAILY
SPECIALS SUCH AS A 1 1/4 LB. LOBSTER DINNER AT A REASONABLE PRICE AS WELL. WE ARE VERY
HAPPY TO FIND SUCH A RESTAURANT IN THE PARK SLOPE AREA AND NEED NOT GO INTO MANHATTAN FOR SUCH DELICIOUS FOOD.

Pros: Delicious food and upscale decor

Cons: Street parking, make reservations ( it is crowded on Saturdays )

Quick, Tasty, and Fresh,... Nice...

by geo2005

My friends and I went to check out this restaurant after reading several of the reviews listed on Citysearch. Previous reviewers recommended the steak and the kobe burger, so we gave it a shot. The food came quickly, nice... the food was tasty, nice... the food was fresh, nice...the bartender was cute, nice... but our cocktails came a tad slow, not so nice...maybe because the server was schmoozing with the customers at the corner table. I do have to say that once she brought us our drinks, she did spend some time getting to know us as well, so that's nice.... Overall, we spent a pretty penny, had a tasty meal, and had an enjoyable evening. Looking forward to going back. We hear that they have some nice options on their brunch menu.

Pros: Friendly staff and Great music

Cons: Dimly lit, Limited elbow room

Nice little spot in the neighborhood. Chic decor and friendly service especially from the cutie at the bar.
I had a steak that was very tender and well prepared, full of flavor. My friend really enjoyed her kobee beef
burger, the best in Brooklyn. The place must be popular, it filled up quickly and it was after 9pm.
We will be back on a Tuesday to try their tasting menu. We heard plenty of good things about it.

Pros: GREAT KOBEE BEEF BURGER AND JUICY STEAK

Cons: Tucked away at a side street , very easy to miss.

YUM!!! One of the best meals we've had in NYC!

by p_and_p

We strolled in on a Sunday evening, not too hungry but looking fro something nice in our neighborhood. We decided to share an appetizer, salad, and entree so we could splurge on a bottle of wine. The service was great and the food was INCREDIBLE! The warm goat cheese appetizer was amazing. But the show stopper was the Lamb special. It was cooked perfectly and dare I say one of the best dinners I've had in NY. If we were at home the plate would've been licked! We'll defintiely be going back.

I've never written a review before, but this was just too good not to share.

Great Food, Great service, Great People

by scottty221

I visited melt this weekend for lunch. They were busy, but not ridiculously busy. Busy enough where you know it must be good, but not so busy that you want to fight someone waiting to eat. I took my girlfriend here and she loved it as much as I did. The food was delicious and the waitress was an absolute doll. So much so, that we asked for the manager to put in a good word and he was the nicest guy ever as well. I strongly reccommend this place if you want good food served quickly by genuinely nice people!

EXCELLENT FOOD AND GREAT SATURDAY NIGHT CROWD

by josie2001

THUMBS UP TO THE CHEF. WE HAD DINNER AT MELT LAST SATURDAY AND IT WAS A VERY GOOD
DINING EXPERIENCE. THE SERVICE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE MENU.
THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. I STILL THINK ABOUT THE FILET MIGNON, VERY TENDER AND TASTY,
PREPARED THE WAY I REQUESTED. MY FRIEND HAD THE STRIPED BASS AND SHE CAN'T STOP RAVING ABOUT IT AT THE OFFICE. I'LL HAVE TO TRY IT NEXT TIME. THE ORGANIC SALAD NEEDS A BIT
MORE DRESSING, BUT I MUST SAY MELT IS ONE OF THE TOP TEN RESTAURANTS IN PARK SLOPE.

Pros: EXCELLENT FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE AND GREAT CROWD

Cons: RESTAURANT IS LOCATED ON SIDE STREET , EASY TO MISS.

NOT IMPRESSED

Last Thursday was my first time at Melt. I am truly not impressed with the food.
I ordered the short ribs. The meat was fatty and not pleasing to look at. My friend had the duck.
It was poorly cooked. It was chewy and there was no sauce. The chef should focus his attention to these
things. I hope our feedback will help the chef to correcting these issues.
GOOD LUCK !

We had a very nice time at Melt. I just had to write about it. My wife and I lived in Brooklyn for seven years

Tuesday night for the $20 tasting menu. It was very crowded, now we know why. The tasting menu was
absolutely superb. The dishes were fabulously flavorful especially the pieces of steak . It was very tender
and well cooked. Our compliments to the chef. Great job!

Pros: Tasty and Flavorful food

Cons: Crowded on Tuesday tasting menu . Make reservations!

Awful service for Sunday Brunch - Avoid at all Costs

by jbrown27

Attended Sunday brunch on 12/10/06. Sat at our table for 1 hour. after a series of mis-steps, we received our coffee and juice. These were minor issues anybody would forgive. However, service was unpleasant from the start. 45 mins into the experience, awaiting our food, the table beside us got up and said they had had enough. They had waited over an hour but to add insult to injury, they had served two tables that had arrived after them. We grew worried.. Another 15mins went by, 1 hour wait in total. I asked our waitress who informed us they had had a large party in (I saw the party, it wasn't large and the restaurant was only moderately full) and it had resulted in a backlog in the kitchen. She wasn't vaguely apologetic in any way, purely matter of fact about our hour long wait. Then I watched some food come out and the waitress brought it to a couple who had arrived at least 20mins after us. I couldnt believe it. I am a local and this was the only restaurant nearby that offers advantage dining rewards. I can promise that I will never go back again. In fairness, they did not charge us for our coffee/juice but the whole affair seemed quite typical to the wait staff. They were surly, the service was awful. I was really glad we could walk out and go to one of the countless other great brunch options on 5th avenue.

Pros: Close to other great restaurants

Cons: Horrific service, kitchen and wait staff are incompetent

Went to Melt on Saturday night with a few friends and this place was great.
It has a romantic environment and very nice decor. The food was fabulously delicious and tasty, but abit
pricy for the portions. The waitress was very accomidating and service was excellent. Overall, the staff did a
very impressive job. Three cheers to you guys. Keep up the good work. We will be back.

Pros: Excellent service, Great food , Romantic, and nice decor

Cons: Portions too small

Upbeat environment, Fun crowd, Fantastic entrees and specialty cocktails.

I typically would go into Manhattan with my girlfriends to hangout, but last Friday we went to Melt. I was
pleasantly surprised. The food was terrific and the presentation was colorful. The Salmon and Steak are
absolute winners. The four of us had this Watermelon cocktail and all of us agreed that it was fabulous.
We will certainly be back.

Pros: Fun crowd ,Cozy and Upbeat , Great food

Cons: Entrees are a tad small.

Great food, Great service, great atmosphere for reasonable prices

by dikamba

I have passed by this place so often and last night after a faisco at Sugrcane I had teh luck of stumbling onto MELT. Boy was I glad. My husband had the short ribs(delicious), my sister had the skirt steak(grilled yumminess), my friend had the chicken(a lil overcooked) , and I ahd the lamb special(quite good). Their wine and drink menu is very reasonable. I will definantly be coming back to sample their excellent 5 cuurse tasting menu on Tuesdays for 20$. This is why I love Brooklyn!

Pros: decor, service, food - good value

Relax atmosphere, and Friendly service.

by loceen01

This place is somewhat different from the other restaurants around the 5th ave. area, it has good food. It is a bit costly, but its okay. My boyfriend and I had a romantic evening. The decor was nice and the music was soft, good for the older crowd. My steak was abit over cooked, but it had flavor. The portions are a tad small for the money. Anyway, the important things are that the food and service were good. We will come back on a Tuesday to try the $20 tasting.

Pros: Romantic, Very nice ambience ,Very friendly waitress

Cons: A Tad Bigger on the Portions.
