PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT A SPECIAL MOMENT GONE BAD!!!!!!

Please girls, if you are looking for a wedding dress, don't ruin your special moment by going to this shoppe!!! The owner is HORRIBLE! She turned into a villian when my mom arrived and didn't like what she picked out for me. I had to in a polite way tell her to be more gentle with my mom and family. She said that my mom was a momzilla!!!!! Are you kiddding me?!!! No, she isn't, my mother knows what I like and how dare anyone say that to my dearly loved mother?! She was high pressured and told me that if I do not chose I was considering that night, the price would go up from $890 to over $3,000!!!! And then when I sat around and debated it, she got mad at how long I took! Is it really my fault that she created a horrible pressured autmosphere and then got mad at me for walking away without the dress? When I said no to the dress, she stormed away, said that she wasted time, electric and air contdition and said well, that was really worth it, wasn't it? In a really smart-a** way. She also said to my grandmother, you know what her problem is, she just doesn't want to get married. OMG!!!!! If I would I heard that, things would have gotten extremely ugly!!! We were nothing but nice to her, dispite how rude she was and I was afraid to say no because I was worried about how she would treat us...that just goes to tell you how horrible of a person she is!!!!!
I wish the police could do something about people like her!!!!
I will be looking into the better business bureau as well!

I'd like to start out by saying I knew the reviews for this shop, and my mother came in and bought her wedding dress here. She also had a horrible experience. They sold my mother a dress that was about 6 sizes too small, and told her they would do alterations for $30. When she ordered the dress and tired it on, it obviously didn't fit. The owner then told my mother she would charge $125 in alterations, and it would cost so much because she would need more fabric. When my mom said she was at the end of her budget and couldn't afford that and tried to bring up the previous offer, the owner told my mom she should join weight watchers. Not exactly something a bride to be wants to hear.

My friend's mother had a similar experience when buying a wedding dress, so admittedly when my friend and I went into the cinerella shoppe we were anticipating dealing with someone not so great.

My friend is a size 00 in jeans, and I'm a plus size girl. I tried on dresses first, and had to go up 6 sizes because the sizing on the dresses were all wrong. They had sketchy hand written tags. I'm not sure what kind of place tries to make women think they need bigger sizes than they actually do, but my self esteem was already deflating. The woman brought me a dress that was the exact colour of my skin and when I said I didn't like it because of this, she told me I should go tanning anyways because I "could use a little colour," because it would be "sliming," I tried on another dress that I said I liked, and asked if they could remove the straps, to which she replied that it would make my wide shoulders look even broader and bigger, and I really didn't need that. I've been on the swim team for years, so I do have broader shoulders, but it was still an unnecessary comment, as I've worn many strapless dresses and been just fine. I then told her I was debating between a dress I tried on here and one I tried on in another store that I really liked. I've done a few fashion shows for another dress shop, and the one dress I wore for the last two shows I loved. The one I had on that was similar was a darker colour of blue which she explained would be better because in pictures if I wear light colours it will show how big I am, and then proceeded to call me a "model," for the rest of the trip because I mentioned I was in fashion shows.

My friend tried on dresses next, and she had to go up to a size six dress, and that was tight on her, we could barely get it zipped. Which is ridiculous for as tiny as she is. My friend has a scar from surgery which the lady kept insisting she should cover up. She also told my friend there was "no way she was a zero," despite the fact she was wearing double zero jeans from AE that were baggy on her at the time.

She also made me show her my drivers license so that my friend could try on dresses because she looks younger due to her slight size, but I don't understand why someone would have to show ID to try on a dress. We were both 18, but when we were still in high school I used to go to other shops with a group of four or five 15-17 year olds and never had a problem.

Over all, I cannot tell you enough how awful this place is. I assure you there are many more horrible experiences that I've heard about and seen first hand that aren't even on this site. I can't imagine anyone ever giving this place a five with the background checks and necessary identification needed for trying on a dress. Or perhaps those are just to see if you're worthy of being blatantly insulted by a miserable old hag.

Go to Encore in Lebanon, Cocoa Couture in Hershey, or really any other dress shop because this place should be shut down and the owner should be committed.

Okay, so I looked at all the reviews before I went to this shop. As soon as I got in, the lady had an attitude and acted like she didn't want to help us. I went with my friend.... and they no longer sell prom dresses. It's okay though because I don't like rude people. I will take my sale somewhere else. The shop seemed very old fashioned anyway. The lady that was there, which was not the owner, said that the people would come to the shop and try on a whole bunch of dresses and then order their dresses online. Maybe it's because you were absolutely rude to them. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt by still going there after I saw all the horrific reviews, but I should not have done that. I honestly think that wedding boutiques believe that prom sales are below a wedding sale, that's not fair at all. Oh well I will find a dress else where.

These reviews are coming up under the wrong bridal shop. THESE REVIEWS ARE FOR THE CINDERELLA SHOP. THEY IN NO WAY AFFECT ANY OTHER SHOP IN THE AREA AND SHOULD NOT BE REPRESENTING ANY OTHER SHOP IN THE AREA. THESE INSIDERPAGES AND CITYSEARCH REVIES ARE FOR THE CINDERELLA SHOP AND THE CINDERELLA SHOP ONLY. SOME HOW THEY HAVE BEEN MIXED IN WITH OTHER BRIDAL SHOP REVIEWS AND SHOULD NOT BE. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH GOOGLE AND GOOGLE MAPS.

I normally do not leave reviews ever, but this place was a TOTAL nightmare and people should know. Every single thing about the negative reviews on this place are extensively true. I was very excited to get started as this was my first dress shopping experience, and unfortunately I left feeling pissed off and discouraged. The older woman there, who calls herself an "owner" is beyond rude, snide and is ignorant to any type of bridal gown designer. She asked what I'm looking for, I told her I'm a huge fan of Pnina Tornai and she didn't even know who she was. Don't waste your time or your money because she does not deserve it. Extremely unprofessional.

I went there today, and granted, I only had 30 minutes to look before the shop closed. I really just wanted to quickly browse to see the selection, and then come back if I saw anything I liked. Well, the older woman there took 15 of those minutes to ask me personal questions (how many dresses I've already tried on, how much they cost, etc.) and then show me horrendous dresses she thought I would like, based on what I wore to the shop. I was then allowed to peruse the racks, but since I was in a rush, and not really looking for THE ONE just yet, I wasn't pulling anything out to try on. I just wanted to get a feel for what they had in stock.

Right in front of me, she tells my mom that she doesn't think I'm going to find a dress I'd like this way, and that I should really take my time to look at each gown. I know what I want, and it was none of what they had. She said other things to belittle me, as if what I wanted didn't matter. I said I might possibly come back to check out one other room of dresses, but she pretty much told me that I was incapable of doing this unless my mom could meet me to help me make a decision. I am very able to pick my own dress, thank you.

Service was terrible, organization was the worst! She said dresses were pretty much just thrown on any rack after being tried on. There were no sections for formal/informal, or sections for long-sleeved, trains, etc.

This place is a train wreck, and quite honestly, I don't feel like wasting my time to be hounded by someone who has no clue how to run a business... even if the perfect dress is in that mess somewhere.

I won't give the Cinderella shop a single star. They were rude and did not listen to anything my daughter said she wanted in a gown. At one point they told my daughter the dress she was looking at was boring! Another women came into the shop to try on a dress (not a wedding dress) and the two salesladies there dropped everything and helped her. I had to help my daughter try on her wedding dresses. I was so looking forward to this being a special day and they ruined it. Unprofessional doesn't even cover it. Don't waste your time or money...they should be shut down...and if they continue to treat customers this way I have no doubt they will be!

Well after reading the reviews I wanted to call the shop. See I live forty mins away and I'm looking for a gown to attend the officer's ball. I didn't want to drive that far to not find a dress or have bad customer service. So I spoke with "Loise". I asked if she had those types of gowns and she said come right in. We talked for a bit about her inventory and she seemed coy. I brought up the reviews online made me uneasy. To which she replied, Well you try pleasing a hundred people a day! I thought that was an odd reply. I didn't get a chance to ask if there would be an issue with me taking pictures of myself in the dresses with my phone to send them to my boyfriend in Fort Benning to see what his opinion was, due to her quick switch from friendly to unpolite. So based on the aggressive attitude in the reviews and the conversation I had on the phone, I am not going to even check it out. I will be looking at Lilla's bridal boutique in Harrisburg instead. Wish me luck!

Wedding dress shops are not places we frequent often and this is one place you will NEVER want to step into again if you've been here. Use my experience as your guide and go elsewhere like COCOA COUTURE in Hershey. Here ( or other bridal shops) they will treat you as a customer looking for a special occasion dress and help you with care and respect. I went to the Cinderella shop and told the woman I was just starting my search for a dress. She then insisted I had to try on the dresses she had because I would be hard to fit and she was buying up the inventory from other bridal shops that were closing due to the economy. After trying on the dresses the one that was a possibility she said would "go quickly" and I should buy it now. When I told her I wanted to bring a friend for another opinion she told me to just take it and show them and bring it back for the needed alterations if I wanted it. When I went back to exchange it she refused to allow me to do that saying it was on "sale" and that meant I could not return it. When I told her I was stepping outside to call VISA (signs in the store say you can not have cell phones on because of her electonics) and talk to the disputes dept she brought the dress out and threw it on the ground. It was then I realized we were not dealing with sanity and left. I have since learned that many people in the area know this is a bitter old woman hanging on to a business that she does not need financially so treating customers with disdain seems to be the reason she persists.
GO ELSEWHERE, you deserve it!

Let me start by saying that I am a 31 year old working professional, and I was looking for a wedding dress. (Directed to the greentea09, who claims that everyone that posted reviews were ?little girls looking prom dresses?)
I am the type of person that always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt. However, I SHOULD have listened to the numerous reviews stating how terrible this shop is. I was in the area and decided to stop in to look for some dresses. The owner seemed gracious enough, when my mother and I came into the store. She asked me the standard questions as all the other bridal boutiques. She so boldly stated that she had the perfect dresses in mind for me. She boasted about how the store serviced 8 states and has been in business for over 40 years (which judging from the dcor- I would have to agree with her) and how they have over 2000 dresses, all the while, bad mouthing other shops in the area. She told us to look through the dresses in her stock room. After perusing through half of the dresses (most of which were hideous and out dated) She stated ??You won??t find what you are looking for in there, I have your dresses? She only pulled 2 dresses. I tried the first one- eh, not my cup of tea. The second one, was a little better, however it was a beige color, not ivory, beige. I asked if it came into another color and she told me that if I got any other color- I would look yellow! Seriously? Then, she told me that ??THIS WAS THE ONE- I can see it in your eyes? at which point I knew she was completely delusional. She immediately brought out a veil and swooped in for the hard sale ??If you buy it right now, you can have it for $900, if you come back it will be $1500?, the red flags started to go off at this point.
I discussed the dress and the exit strategy with my mother (in another language) She rudely asked- What are you saying? I said, ??We are discussing the dress?? She said ??Oh, I??ll give you a minute?. (gee- thanks) I then asked to see a mermaid style dress, she rudely said, ??Why do you want to see a mermaid? You have nohips or butt, you will not look good, it would look terrible on you, you need curves.? As my mother and I were walking out, she snidely waved and said ??Happy shopping!? I retorted ??Thanks I will, thanks for trying though, I would have never found my dress here anyway- good luck.? No bride, should ever be subjected to that kind of treatment, and had I found my dress there- I would have not given her the business. From the other reviews, she did ME a favor. It seems that the headache continues after the purchase! Ironically- it was the only small neighborhood shop I went too and it had by far the worst customer service and I have been to numerous shops in Manhattan and Philadelphia and have NEVER been treated in this manner! Clearly, she has zero business sense nor social skills. This shop is a complete disgrace to the wedding industry!
It??s a shame too-considering I had a $5000 budget, now that??s a lot of prom dresses!!

Cinderella Shoppe, indeed, more like the Evil Stepmother Shoppe!

Pros: NONE

Cons: The owner, customer service, professionalism

I went to the Cinderella Shoppe to get a prom dress a few years ago. I found a gorgeous dress, that I purchased and ordered. I was measured, and they created an order for me dress.

When I came back to get alterations done, the dress was suddenly much too long and large for me (I'm a very tall girl, so for a dress to be too long for me is unusual). So my mother paid $125 to have everything fixed, but we were upset because the dress I ordered had fit me perfectly.

When I came back for the next fitting, the dress was magically much too short. The owner kept trying to convince me that the dress was meant to be ballet length, when it should have been a full length gown.
I insisted on having it full length, the way I ordered it.

She acted like I was just being difficult, but she could do me the favor of putting more length on it for another $125. My mother was fuming and said, that it would be impossible to add more length to a tool prom dress, and that my father was an attorney, and we were going to sue.

Then, it turned out, she had pinned up the skirt, not really done any alterations, and that it was simply a scam to charge us more money.

Do not trust this woman. She is deceitful and a scam artist, not to mention crazy.

I also find it very interesting that all of the 5 star reviews use the exact same style of writing and language.
I might believe someone gave this store 2 or maybe 3 stars...but 5? that is the shop owner attempting to fix all the horrible reviews she got on her.

At the time I went to look at wedding dresses, I was 20 years old. I went in with my grandmother and mother. We were so excited to find my perfect dress.
We went in and the lady asked us if we were looking for dresses and we said yes. She told us to go up these stairs and someone will help us. We got up there and here its prom dresses. So we went back down stairs.
We did find some dresses that were out for display that were cute. As we were looking, this sales lady comes up and looks at my grandmother and asks her if she was getting married.... um... hello... she has a wedding band on already. So we told her no. She then looks at my mom and asks her if she was the one getting married. Once again we tell her no. She then looks at me. She turned her nose up and really rudely asks if I was the one getting married. I said yes. Then she goes on telling me that Im too young to be getting married and thats its a mistake. I didnt need that crap. I didnt ask for her opinion.
Then she makes the comment that we cant try or even look at dresses today because we didnt make an appointment. The place was dead. Everyone was just standing around. They could of squeezed me in. I asked her if she was busy and she said no but you still need to make an appointment and today she dont feel like having a walk in. HOW RUDE!!!!!
She insults my family, insults me.... I will NEVER step into that place EVER again!!!! I urge all brides to not go there. You dont need a rude sales lady up in your face. You have enough to worry about.

We had the worst experience ever at this shop. We walked in to look for prom dresses after driving over an hour. An older woman approached us and pointed to the racks and told us to pick any we wanted to try. She then asked my daughter what size jeans she wore and when she said a zero, she told my daughter she would need a size six in any of the dresses. When I told her we had bought at least three designer homecoming/prom dresses in the past and we knew that she needed a size zero or two, she snapped at us and said, "I've been doing this over 10 years and I know what size she needs. She is very busty" When I pointed out that my daughter wore a size 32B bra and was not at all busty. She just ignored me. She then said pick dresses off this rack (size 6 to 8) and walked away. We looked at the racks and saw a very limited selection of dresses so we left. We then returned to our home city of York and went to Renaissance Bridal where we've purchased two other dresses in the past. As usual, we had wonderful service and my daughter got a beautiful dress (size 0). I will never go back to that store and would never recommend it to anyone else. Do as I did and spend your hard earned money in a place where you are treated with courtesy and respect.

I had an appointment to look for Wedding Dresses at Cinderella Shoppe. I had heard bad stories and read bad reviews about the women at this shop, but thought I would still give it a chance......what a HUGE MISTAKE that was!!!!!

I was treated so RUDE at this dress shop. They ask you way too many personal questions, then she insults you about your size, then you look through the dresses they have no tags, and half of them have long sleeves and no trains and expensive prices......the list goes on and on and all of this wasn't even the worst part. The most horrible and shocking part came when the lady (I beleive its the owner) was so ignorant to me and my mom that after one dress I told her I was done and had to leave. This was the fifth dress shop I was at, all the other dress shops I went the women helping me were so nice, I had such pleasent shopping experiences.
This lady was so Ignorant, and disrespectful, she insulted me for having a child and not yet being married, and that a wedding dress is not important, I should be taking care of my child instead of worrying about a wedding dress. She was snapping at my mom, and saying completly uncalled for things.
The crazy thing too is that there was NOT 1 other customer in there, and I was ready to buy if I would have found one!

I left there so upset so shocked so outraged, she made me feel absolutly horrible about myself and the wedding. I couldn't beleive that someone in customer service would treat people this way. I would never tell anyone to go there and put themselves through that!!!!!!! I would never step back into that shop even if I would have found my dream dress!!!

I wouldn't even give them one star if I could!

I am 18 years old and going to my senior prom. I had never been to anoter prom before and only one homecoming. Let me just tell you this store made it miserable for me, my mother, and my grandmother! It was aweful. From the moment we walked into the door the customer service was RUDE RUDE RUDE! After we had walked around the store wiht no help whatsoever, i finally found a few beautiful dresses. When I went back to try them on, I needed tied into my dress and there was no one there to help me so my mom came back to tie me in, well the strings were frayed and the beads were falling off the dress. My grandmother then came back to try to get the strings through. Then one of the ladys came back to help someone else and we asked her to tie me into my dress and the older woman came back yelling at my family for being back there wiht me. Then she told the other sales lady to go help somone else i can do this myself. She also told me to put pins myself into ALLLLL of the places the beads were falling off. I was also yelled at for giving my opinion and embarresed by the older sales lady. She yelled at my grandmother and made her cry. We were not helped until we were at the counted for check out. And they only reason we stayed to buy the dress was because it was pretty and cheap. WHen we were checking out the Rudeness continued. She told us she would try to have the dress fixed but it will cost the store $50.00 to do so. THen she told us to just not buy the dresss, waht kind of sales person refuses a sale!!! It was the worst and most unfun shopping experience of my life, prom dress should be fun not a nightmayre which that place is. They treated us like we were low class compared to the other people there, mind you that my family is far from and easy going. I do not reccomend this place. It was so terrible it does not even deserve a rating!!!!!!!

I had an excellent experience shopping for my wedding dress here. They had a big selection of beautiful dresses and were very helpful in finding exactly what I was looking for. Their staff was very professional and the woman who helped me was really honest and awesome about helping me figure out what style looked best on me. I got a great deal on a gorgeous dress that I most certainly would have dropped more on somewhere else. My advice: It's well worth the drive! You'll probably find what you're looking for here! Oh and if you're looking at the negative reviews don't be scared. It would be important to note that a majority of the negative reviews appear to be written by little girls shopping for their prom dresses, NOT women shopping for WEDDING DRESSES. So, kind of take that into consideration.

Cons: Just the distance I had to drive to get there, but it was worth it anyways!

My niece recently went there to look for a winter formal dress and was treated with great disrespect from the staff. It reminded me of when I went there to look for my wedding dress years ago - I guess not much has changed.

I guess they feel like they cater to a certain type of customer and a young teenager didn't fit the profile. They belittled her and made fun of her for the dress she picked out. I can't believe they are still in business after years of hearing the same stories from everyone I know who shopped there.

Do yourself a favor - don't bother going in!!!!

Another perfect review for HOF! They said my dress would come in the middle of june but it came way early and it was PERFECT. When I tried it on it fit like a glove. My mother cried and my aunt and godmother did too. My little 1 1/2 year old niece approved of it too! The service was still perfect and I have no complaints! Need to go back in august to make sure i don't need any changes.

I AM PICKY AND HAD SHOPPED FOR 6 MONTHS EVERYWHERE. (AT LEAST 15 STORES) THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THE DRESSES ARE NOT THE SAME OLD STYLES I SAW EVERYWHERE ELSE.

IF THE STYLE IS NOT RIGHT , THEY TELL YOU INSTEAD OF JUST TRYING TO SELL YOU A DRESS. A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THE BEST PRICE. I SUGGEST THAT YOU SAVE YOUR TIME AND GAS AND ENJOY YOURSELF.

I want into the Cinderella Shoppe. It had gorgeous dresses, they were very very unique for prom dress shopping and beautiful. I was having a good time and good service up until an older woman came to the seats and yelled at my mother. She yelled at her for giving her opinion, first of ALL my mom never said anything rude she said this young woman looked beautiful but the older woman screamed at my Mom. I was SO angry. I was looking at beautiful dresses but walked out when she said that. MORAL OF THE STORY: They lost a paying customer because of their negative attitude.

Pros- Unique Prom Dresses.
Cons- HORRIBLE service. Horrible service.
(you can get better dresses for less negativity.)

-I will never go back there.-

I went here to find a bridal dress, and when I didn't think any of the 6 dresses they let me try on were the right dress, I was accused of being spoiled and a bridezilla - neither of which is true. I didn't feel like they heard me when I tried to explain what I wanted to try on, and none of the dresses were what I asked for. They also made me fill out an application before I could try on any dresses that asked for personal information that was none of their business. Can you imagine shopping for a car (a much bigger investment) this way? No one would ever put up with it. In addition, they were overpriced, rude, and unfriendly. What should have been a memorable shopping trip with my mother and grandmother turned into a nightmare.

I called before I went in. The owner told me they carried a ton of designers. After I went in she and her associate kept giving me these dresses that were not my taste to try on, when I finally asked who the designers were, she admitted it was them. They were dishonest about having desiner dresses and were rude when I did not LOVE each dress. There was a one day half off sale that was magically ending that night and would not be available the next day. Needless to say, I passed. It was confusing and uncomforable for me. If she was honest in the first place I wouldn't have felt so duped.

I called beforehand to see what designers they had in the store, I was told by the owner that she had a ton of designers. When I got there, she brought me several dresses with no designer tags. I kept asking, who is the designer...finally it came out that she and her associate were. There were no designer dresses in the store. She literally lied to get me in and then tried to sell me one of her designs. I don't mind that she designed the dresses, but I think she should have been honest about it. Then I was told there was a big sale but it ended that day, so I had to decide right then and there. It was a very stressful and bad experience. They also try to insult you if you don't love every dress they bring you. I felt very duped. Would never recommend it and would not go back.

I've always heard how the Cinderella Shoppe customer service is bad and the salespeople are rude and snobbish. . .I thought maybe those people went on a bad day or something like that. . .well, I very much regret making the same mistake they did in going. It was truly awful. I went there wanting to try on dresses that I've seen online, by Jasmine, etc., which I was told they have when I called to inquire. The woman was nice at first, a bit snobby, but nice enough. . as the next honestly few minutes went past, I could feel my bp rising. My friend and I started looking through dresses, I found one that was very pretty. . .and when I had it on, I asked my friend to grab my camera. . .nope, I was told by the salesperson that they did not allow cameras. . .the dress was "their own" design. . .ok, on to the next dress, then the next. . .which were both not anything that I had told her I liked, she brought me none of what I asked for, only brought me "their own" dresses and when I asked about the designers I was told they have in stock, she told me they must've been bought off the sales floor. She kept insisting I needed this and needed that . . .even after I repeatedly told her. . ."no, bling is not me", she would tell me I need bling, I told her flowy and pretty, she had this tight hipped mermaid suit she was trying to put over my head and that was it for me. After that, she actually told me that she didn't think she had anything else "in my price range". . .I'm definitely not being cheap on a dress! It was unbelievable. I cannot believe I bit my tongue. I'm a very relaxed friendly person and don't get as angry as I was very easily. I can honestly say I would not go back there even if I won free gowns for my entire bridal party. . .they had the opportunity to sell 10 dresses and blew it. I actually left there feeling bad about myself and enraged. Do yourself a favor and cross them off your list. I promise it won't be regretted.

Pros: They had a big selection for prom go-ers

Cons: Snobby, rude service, didn't listen to what the customer wants, very small selection of bridesmaids gowns

.

I must say that I had an excellent experience at the Cinderella Shoppe! I searched for the perfect gown everywhere, and no shops in the area had anything that even compared in the styles. The owner sat down with us and actually took the time to sketch up ideas for the exact style that I was looking for. My budget was $2,000 and she brought out gowns that were much less expensive, but were all gorgeous. The lady who helped me was so sweet and pleasant. She even remembered my mom and I when we came in to pick up the dresses, and stopped to talk to us. I got married a year ago, and was so inspired that i began working for a large bridal chain with a location in harrisburg. I can tell you from my personal knowledge that when you pay for a cheap dress, you are getting a cheap dress!! My dress that i purchased at the Cinderella shop was extremely high quality! I can tell from the fabric and stitching, and the boning in the bodice is great! I also ordered my bridesmaids dresses from there and they were great! I no longer work for the large bridal chain. Their dresses were often cheap material and sold dirty to the customers. I have to much integrity to make sales like that!! I would recommend the cinderella shopp to anyone - my experience was great!!

Should be called the Cinderella shoppe of Horror. Worst customer experience I have ever been in. I kept looking for Candid Camera to step out. The owner just interrogates you about the wedding and your size. She kept telling us how she is a wedding planner and how weddings are suppose to have themes, or the wedding is boring. Then to try on a wedding dress, you don't get to browse, she selects the dress from a back room, where she supposedly has thousands of dresses and the ones she does bring out do not have tags. She acts like she has a high end shop, belittles all the other stores you have been too. Then, has the audacity to say, go try on your bridesmaid dresses, elsewhere, come back to her and she will order them online. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this store and only wish I had read the online reviews before entering the store for the appt. Buying a wedding dress is suppose to be a pleasant experience, if not fun. This was anything but. I was appalled at the way she talked to my daughter and tried to belittle her. Her assistant was very nice, but quiet. She (the owner) belittled weddings that don't have a theme, and talked about how boring weddings are without a theme. She refused to bring out more than one dress, till I insisted, then brought out two ugly dresses nowhere near what we were looking for. I cannot believe she is still in business. I have sent her a ltr. telling her to go online and read her reviews. This store does not even deserve one star, definitely below substandard.

Pros: there is none

Cons: thumbs down, no tags on dresses

Although I went here over a year ago I am now a bride-to-be myself and want to warn everyone about this shop before they make the mistake of going there. I have read lots of absolutely HORRID reviews about this place in addition to my own experience so I have backup on how awful it is! I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and not only were we expected to tell them on the spot how much we were spending, but the a shop owner (who is one of the worst people I've ever met and definitely has some deep, DEEP issues) told us that we were out of our price range when we were trying on some of the nicer (but still mediocre) dresses that she had in her hideously decorated place. She was rude to the sales associate who helped us, berating her and scolding her for showing us dresses that we couldn't "afford". She insisted that one of the bridesmaids not hang up the dresses that we were trying on once we were ready to get OUT of there, after which she claimed that we were making a mess of her dressing room. Bottom line - Don't give a dime to people like this. They are all that is wrong with a lack of common decency towards other people in customer service. I've even read how the shop owner is guilty of price gouging and promising alterations that she doesn't complete. She needs to be locked away because she is CRAZY. Please send this to anyone you know that is going to be prom dress/bridesmaid dress OR bridal gown shopping - the store needs to close and you wouldn't be impressed with the selection you find there anyway! It's all really lousy material, and cheap. As the subject line of this rant states: Don't bother!!!

Cons: absolutely everything

I have to admit my daughter and I were nervous and defensive when we walked into the Cinderella Shoppe, because of reading some negative press on it. However, we never experienced anything negative in our 3 visits (for fittings) to this store. The owner and her staff were warm and friendly, along with being very professional. And they had a huge selection of prom dresses. They were a joy to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. I normally don't write reviews about places, but I felt they deserve some positive feedback. People who have negative experiences always write. Those with positive experiences, don't usually bother. Thank you Cinderella Shoppe for making our dress shopping such a wonderful experience!

I have shopped for over 4 months for my perfect wedding dress. I have been everwhere.

Considering the many stores that I have been to, my mother and I saw the most unpleasant conditions. Soiled and damaged dresses were everywhere. As a bride, I want to try only clean, untouched, fresh gowns in a nice atmosphere. That is what I found at the Cinderella Shoppe.

In most stores, the staff knew nothing, and were dressed poorly. My mother was shocked.

Finally, we went to the Cinderella Shoppe. What a pleasant experience. We were greeted warmly and the knowledge they offered helped me find my dream dress.

I would recommend this store to anyone who wants professional help at reasonable prices. Being from the New York area, I have been to some of the best salons, and the Cinderella Shoppe far exceeds all of them.

I will recommend them to everyone.

I would not recommend this dress shop to my worst enemy. They are very friendly and helpful till they get your money and after that forget about service. ONce they had your money they hardly even have time to say hello before rushing u off the phone or out the door. I ordered my Bridal dress and my Bridal party dresses from them. It took months longer then promised to get get my bridal dress and I am still waiting on the bridal party dresses. They are not much help on when they will be in. I ordered them a year in advance because of out of state bridesmaids and other factors. Well my wedding is fast approching and they can not promise the dresses will be here in time. The concract says they will be ordered immediately, but I have since found out they held off ordering mine for rush orders for the busy wedding months. Needless to say I am tired of being told they will be here this day and so on and that day coming and going. so with less then a month to my wedding I need to figure out what my girls will be wearing if these dresses to not get here soon!

after spending over 4,500.00 for my daughters dress i was assured that would be all i needed to spend. I have heard horror stories about this shoppe and their dishonest ways, however, they were very nice when i was spending my money ,and i trusted the sales woman when she told me they would" take care" of the alterations and "not to worry about it". I had explained to her that this was a lot of money for me to spend on a dress and wanted to make sure there were no hidden costs. I then signed the contracts (didn't look close enough!!!) because they rush you out the door, anyway my daughter and i left happy. We returned today to have the dress altered(our sales woman was not in) Soooo, we get to meet the owner and she took care of us. DID SHE EVER!!! I tried to explain to her what i was promised, she called me cheap and a lier then refused to do any alterations and kicked us out of the shoppe!! (They have three levels of alteration quality, not just Great, but,so so ,good and great ) This woman, the shoppe owner, is the most unprofessional, negative, rude person i have ever meet. PLEASE NOTE: she didn't offer to take the dress back, but became so ugly when she found out i was not going to spend any more money i thought she was going to explode!! She made my daughters special day a disaster. She was even talking about how cheap i was to my daughter as she was undressing, I had to step in to make her stop. PARENTS please don't do this to your child.. See local.yahoo for more reviews from others.. I Should Have Listened..
