My old heater was 98 percent inefficient. So when they put in my new furnace my gas bills went down so much that the gas company thought we were steeling gas and replaced our meter :)

The service from Horbett was amazing and hands on. The owner came out and visited while his team were installing and the quality of work was bar none.

Please pass this note on to management! I will be sending it to as many executives as I can locate however there may be some that I miss.

I purchased a Trane furnace through your Cheektowaga NY store. Today the contractor said that my warranty is void if I don??t pay for a service call and that is not acceptable.

A few days ago I called Horbett Heating & Cooling to find why when I turned on my AC for the first time after the install of my new furnace that it does not cool. I was clear on the phone that I was not willing to pay any part of a service call if I don??t want any new work done. I reminded them that the both salesman promised that it would work because it was working when they started the install. Ten minutes after the service man left I got a call to try and trick me into saying that I will pay for a service call. The guy was running a collections game on me. When I told him I would not even consider paying for anything?he started threatening me with court, collections, and the final straw. He is voiding my Trane factory warranty as of this moment.

So I called Home Depot just to be brushed off. Then went to the home depot and reported Horbett Heating & Cooling?Home Depot pretty much said tough break and good luck with that. So I am contacting every home depot corporate officer that can be found via phone and an email barrage.

Home Depot sold this to me? Home Depot is collecting the payments. To say I must deal with this contractor is totally unacceptable. Horbett Heating & Cooling are in my opinion scummy business people and I don??t ever want contact with them again.

In the fall of 2005 I purchased a Lennox central air unit from Ken Horbett Sr., Horbett Heating and Cooling. Since it was the fall and the unit would not need to be used, the instillation (addition of refrigerant) was to be completed in the spring 2006. In the spring of 2006, I called Horbett Heating and Cooling and asked them to finish the instillation, but I never received a call back for an appointment. After repeated calls in early summer 2006 (after several hot days) I was able to get an appointment for the completion of the instillation. The unit worked well over the rest of the summer 2006. In spring 2007 we called for and received a preventative maintenance appointment (prior to using the unit) for both our furnace and central air units (mechanic Chuck). In June 2007, the central air unit was turned on and found to not cool the house. We placed a service call to Horbett Heating and Cooling and received prompt service from their mechanic, Chuck (6/30/07). He determined that the unit was likely leaking refrigerant and needed refrigerant charge (5 lbs). He also felt that, because he could not find the leak, the unit would likely malfunction in ?one week?. Chuck charged the unit at a cost of $339.24 for new refrigerant. When I heard Chuck?s assessment I called Ken Horbett, Jr., from Horbett Heating and Cooling to ask why he would not just repair the unit. He told me that finding the leak could take time and the summer was his busy time for AC units. Ken did offer to fix the leak free of charge to me. It is now July 7th and the Central air unit no longer functions. I?ve once again placed a call to Horbett Heating and Cooling?s who now state that their ?repair kit? is not functioning and would take a week to come back for repairs.
It seems to me that Horbett Heating and Cooling is happy to install air conditioning units, but does not want or have the capability to service these units if a problem occurs.
