went into the Harding Place store looking for a bedroom set and possibly a dining set for the kitchen. Nice enough people, but so are the folks at the used car lot who will sell you a flood damaged car if you don't know better...
Please save your money and go somewhere else. The other reviews on this site are accurate, except for "greatexperience". I think that is the chick from the commercials! Great! now they are reviewing themselves?? Nope, no bias there.

Ya know, I won't bore you with the details, as there are far too many to list here, but I will say if you want to have your wife told she is plain wrong about what sofa she purchased or what she was told by Elly May, Melissa, Scott, Lauren or the lovely and talented Nicole (whom I might add has devoted nearly SIX years of her life to furniture sales and "Quality customer service") then be my guest. If you want quality furniture and you want it on time, might I suggest you build it yourself. These people are awful. I'm glad your going out of business. The world, and Nashville will be much better off without you in it.

Go fornicate yourself with a sharp metal stick!

When you go in to buy they are very nice and shake your hand etc. But after you buy and your Lane Furniture that you buy with a life time warranty breaks after 2 years, they will not do anything about it. We talked to Glen and took our paperwork. He smiled and made copies of our paper work and said somebody would call us the next week. We did not hear from them and call back and Glen said somebody would call us the next week. You guessed it. Still no calls. We have called back several times and left a message during store working hours and even call the other store and left message. Still did not call us back and we still do not have our furniture fixed. We are going to the LOCAL NEWS and left them come out to see furniture and get back with Glen. There is nothing else we can do. This has been going on about 2 months or more.

I havebeen looking for my new bedroom furniture for the last few months I had found a Bernhardt suite online but everywhere that carried it the prices wereout of our range. A freind had purchased a dining table from this store and is so happy with it I decieded to go see if they had the peices I was looking for well to make a long story short They did and the price was perfect me and my husband cant stop showing off our new bedroom suite we coudnt belive they had exactly what we wanted for that price. The lady that checked usut was very personable probably the best customer service we have ever experienced we plan on sendinga thank you card to the whole staff for helping us find our perfect x-mas present to ourselves. We were a little unsure of the word closeouts at first but now we realize thats just a diffrent way of saying hidden treasure

I bought furniture from staff and they told that it will be delivered in a few days. I had to keep call to receive my furniture. When I called they kept giving me excuses and I had to get someone to pick it up for me several weeks later. This is is a poorly operated store and should be closed down. Additionally, the managers told me something and it did not happen as well. This is a down right a disgrace for people who are wanting to get quality service for their money. DO NOT BUY HERE....PERIOD!

Customer service-terrible! I bought a bedroom set from Metro off Harding Pike and after three weeks I have yet to receive my dresser. Everytime I call I'm reassured that it will come "tomorrow" or "next week" but it has yet to arrive. I strongly advise buyers to shop anywhere but here. Yes it may be cheap but that's the caliber of service and furniture you will receive too....granted you receive your furniture....

I purchased a sectional sofa approximately 2 months ago. The sales person called himself "Old Fart". His words exactly when I asked his name? "Just ask for the old fart". Should have known something was up at that point. He also spoke as if he were the owner; "I pay $23,000 a month here and the rent is due...I've gotta sell some furniture". Anyway, after negotiating, I was told I had a 5-year "bumper-to-bumper" warranty including fabric protection. There was a scuff on one of the corners and I was told it would be repaired prior to delivery. That didn't happen. I called and spoke with the "Old Fart" and was told the repair guy was slammed with deliveries due to the "big sale". I called back twice after that eventually speaking to Nichole. (Customer or should I say Lack of Customer Service) She told me the old fart had been fired and referred me to Glen/Lynn. Nonetheless he ignored my calls for a week until I told them to forget it that I would show up on Saturday afternoon when they were trying to close a deal. When he finally did call me back he said he would get back to me the following morning after he spoke to "the guys responsible" and never did. I've just about given up on the repair due to my even greater concern with the springs "already" weakening in several places. I've had to figure out where to sit and where to advise my company not to sit. I paid $1000 cash. If not I would have either stopped payment on the check or defaulted on the loan and returned this piece of dung. As for the Metro Furniture Outlet staff? They should all chip in and start a used car dealership. Thanks again to the old fart, Glen/Lynn and Nichole for contributing to yet another dishonest business. Today I spoke with Glen- asked who the owner was. He gave me the name, Melissa Tennison, but he wasn't sure. I suggest shopping elsewhere.

I bought a chair for my husband; everything was marked ALL SALES FINAL, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCHANGES. My husband had to have help to get out of the chair after he had sat in it for a few seconds. He is disabled, and the chair was too soft and the back too slanted for him. I spoke with a manager at Metro Furniture, and he allowed me to swap the chair for a different chair, even though the first chair had been delivered. Thanks, Metro.

We bought a sofa set here in June 07, Oh yes they are very helpful while you are in the store but once you have a problem with anything you bought ,you get the runaround forever. We bought a sofa set with a lifetime warranty . (yeah Right) we have the fabric start to rip at the seams within 2 weeks. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING
MADE BY FRAENKEL EVER....This sofa set has been dissinigrating since we bought it. The rep came to our home and treated us like we were stupid and Metro will not return our emails or calls. Oh by the way the day
our furniture was delivered they told us it would be a day late because the person that made a $35,000
order was more important than we were. I swear....Small Claims court here we come.....

Please consider this a warning if you are thinking of purchasing furniture from Metro Furniture on Harding Pike! I wish I would have never walked in that store -- it has caused me nothing but stress and anger. I am absolutely AMAZED that this store is still in business. I have no idea what I'm going to do; I truly feel that I will never see the rest of my furniture! I recently purchased a $3000 mattress from Sprintz in Franklin and was sleeping on it in 5 days! That's a great store with good business ethics! Stay far away from Metro Furniture if I were you!

Wow. Not only was the furniture great, but the process was easy. I'd be lying if I didn't admit to having the hots for the gal on the commercial (she's beautiful), but once I got to the store I found that it was actually a
place I could do buisness with.Great service, good prices, and prompt delivery. This place body slams the

My experiences with Metro Furniture has always been great these past 10 years. I've been a loyal customer and in turn they've been great in working with me. As in life you get back what you put in. I've had only one negative experience and it involved helping a friend and that eventually worked out over time. My last big purchase with Metro was about $14, 000.00 in merchandise. The furniture is beautiful. My salesperson was knowledeable and my delivery service was as promised and without damage to my furniture or newly built home. I do agree that you have to be very detailed in communicating what you want and expect from sales people, but I also found that to be true when doing business with Crescent, and Sprintz Furniture Stores, whom I've found to have over inflated prices in comparison to some of their competitors.

My only advise to Metro Furniture is that they not load the store with so much furniture and I prefer showroom setup areas for ideas. At times their store has so much on the floor at one time you tend to be overwhelmed and distracted which makes it hard to know what you're looking for. Otherwise, I'd recommend the WB store to my family and friends.

In October, 2006, I purchased $2800 worth of furniture from the White Bridge location. Included was a 2 piece couch and matching ottoman. I have not received the ottoman yet! I have called them several times, every month since, and they just say "it's not here yet". I have dealt with Sara at the Harding location. I even had to go out there and show her something in the same color as the couch I bought. They Never call me, They sent an ottoman out that is not even the same color. In order to pacify me, I guess, they sent me a $100 check "just for your wait aggravation". How can a business sell something they don't even have and can't get??? Sounds illegal to me. Beware!
