I wasn't sure I'd want to like i, but it's won me over. Sure, I can find better produce, pastas and other edibles at my small neighborhood shops but they have a tremendous array of food products. It's THE place to go for more obscure items. Also, the view from the casual dining area in the back of the store is unbeatable, especially at sunset.

Great selection, great prices, and great view - loading groceries into my car has never been so pleasant with lady liberty in the background. Saturday and Sunday mornings can be a bit of a zoo, but otherwise, not so bad.

For anyone who has had to push their way through the overly packed UWS Fairway the one in Red Hook is heaven. Even on weekends you can move pretty easily. Like their other stores this one has top fruits and vegetables, great seafood, friendly staff and a great organic section. But the one thing this one has over the other two is an incredible view. Go to the back of the store, grab a coffee and snack at the food counter and then head outside. You can watch the boats and ferries sail past the statue of liberty as you sit back and relax. Though it is tough to get to without a car there are bus stops near by and you can take the water taxi on weekends.
