Been going here for over a year now and I am pretty happy with it. The staff is nice and most of the members are cool to be around. It is definitely a huge step up from planet fitness and well worth the higher membership fees. There are actual barbels and squat racks in the facility and members who are actually in good shape. Did I mention they don't serve bagels and pizza, like the other "fitness center" does and yes that IS a good thing.

I would only call this gym semi-hard core, considering there are quite a few guys who insist on curling in the squat rack. How curling translates in to real world strength I will never understand, but to each his own. If someone is waiting to use the rack for its intended use, please be courteous and move on, but I digress.

There are lots of women there who actually train with weights and I am always impressed when I see that. The only difference between a women and a man musculature wise is the amount of testosterone being produced in their bodies. If anything women need to do less cardio than men and more weight training to make sure the nutrients they eat go toward muscle and not toward fat. Trust me ladies, you will never get huge from lifting weights, it doesn't happen by mistake. Remember, what you eat determines your weight and exercise decides where those nutrients go. If you are only doing cardio, you are simply burning calories in the form of muscle and fat, that is not good, you never ever want to lose any muscle. Since women have less muscle, they need to eat cleaner than men, cut back on the cardio and train with weights. It's the only way to get a toned lean physique that will burn calories day and night.

Hope this helps.
