I've gone through two O2 sensors bought from this store in less than three months. The first one was bad off the shelf, but they did replace it and the second one lasted two months.

I went to Williams Chevrolet to get a full diagnosis and they found the sensor was indeed faulty, and not some other circuit problem. Not only that, their AC Delco one was $31 cheaper than the crap ones I bought here!

I am waiting to see if I can get a refund on the second one but the manager hasn't called back in two days. $116 for O2 sensors that don't work means don't buy them here.

I used to take my car here for all of my work and had major work done with seals on the engine a few years ago.

Never experienced a problem since then other than some leakage of coolant, which I decided to have fixed. My mechanic where I now live showed me where the front seal that Parts Plus did was not installed correctly and informed me that it would be a $800 job to fix it.

I called Parts Plus today, talked to Ken, explained what had happened. Told him that I could send in pictures and a statement from my mechanic here in Reno, NV telling him what the problem was and asked if there was anyway to resolve this.

I was not looking for a refund of the total price paid to them, but would like a refund of $250 to $300 to offset the cost of the incorrect work that was done by Parts Plus.

Ken told me that the warrenty had expired on their work and that I could still bring the car in so they could look at it and give me a 'discount' of repairs but to expect no money from them.

Yes, I know the warrenty is expired, but if you do not know that there is a problem, how are you suppose to bring it back in during the warrenty period? And living in Reno, it makes it a little hard to bring the car back into their shop.

The old owners would have taken the time to figure out an equitable settlement, but not so with the current owners. Customer service and customer loyalty should count for something, but sadly, not with today's owners and managers of their establishment.

I am very disappointed with their actions. But not surprised.

Shoddy work on their part is not going to cost me a lot to fix it. The seal replacement should last at least 50,000 miles and I have only added 15,000 onto the car.

Sometimes problems will appear at a later time, and when it is their responsibility, I would hope that they would step up to the plate and help with resolving it.

Within their legal rights not to help. Absolutely.

But is it the right thing to do? I do not think so.

Parts Plus of Glasgow has a really good reputation in the area we used them onetime to get us a rear view mirror for our van they happened to have a vehicle that had the exact color and model one we needed. It could not have worked out any better.
