We wanted to purchase 2 FlexSteel sofas and could not find any store in the Harrisburg/Lancaster area that had numerous models - we weren't going to purchase a sofa w/o sitting in it. My husband found this store and they had the best selection - he tried out all of the models we were interested, and found the one we'd like best. EFC prices were very reasonable, they delivered the new sofas and removed our old ones. Would buy from them again

In response to the comments regarding Elizabethville Furniture Company ("EFC") that were posted on 03/21/07, it should be noted that this customer was subsequently contacted directly by an owner of EFC. The customer was informed that the associate with whom she had spoken to on the telephone was no longer employed by EFC, and her issue(s) were promptly resolved to her full satisfaction. In fact, this customer continues to patronize EFC and, hopefully, will continue to recommend EFC to her friends, as she stated she has done in the past.

As a successful local furniture retailer and gift shop, customer service/satisfaction is the top priority for Elizabethville Furniture Company ("EFC"). It is what sets EFC apart from other local furniture stores and gift shops, but particularly, it is what sets EFC apart from the larger chain stores south of the mountain that sell volumes of low quality products (and so can afford to lose customers along the way). I, personally, have dealt with EFC for many years and have never been disappointed with my purchases and have always received superior customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend EFC to anyone looking for quality merchandise, with the assurance that if you are dissatisfied for any reason(s), the situation will be promptly and fairly resolved.

Ordered a table 11-13-06. Called 3-21-07 to inquire where it was. Was told it wasn't ordered till 2-21-07 and they didn't know why! Said I wanted to cancel the order and have my deposit returned. Was told they couldn't do that until I threatened to take action against them. The man was argumentative and very smart alecky with me. I asked if this delay would be acceptable to him and he admitted "no". I was told it would be in "after the holidays" and he said whoever told me that was wrong. He said it was ordered from a "slow" company, although that information was not given to me when the order was placed. He said the table couldn't be ordered until they had another item to order at the same time?? Anyhow, they have been earning interest on my deposit for four months and only after I threatened to take action against them did he say he would cut a check and I could pick it up or he would mail it to me. I have given this company a lot of business in the past - family room and living room furniture - and was telling my friends how pleased I was with them. They will not get any more of my business if this is how they treat their customers. Also later tried to order a matching item for my living room and was told it wasn't made - until I took a picture from the internet in to prove to them it was. They need to get rid of this argumentative man if they intend to stay in business. The owners are very nice, but he is doing them a disservice.
